The Utah Jazz face fellow mountaineers tonight and head to Denver to take on the Nuggets. The Jazz (29-17) have faired better in the Western Conference and sit in 5th position, whereas the Nuggets (18-25) sit 8th.

The Jazz are coming off an emotional loss at home last night against the Golden State Warriors. The Jazz kept the Warriors offence at bay but still fell 97-95. Frustrated, look for the Jazz to come into Denver with the same fire tonight. Utah has faired well on the road this season with a 13-9 record. In their last 10 games, the Jazz are 7-3 and had a six-game winning streak snapped by the Warriors. During the winning streak, the Jazz scored 106 points or more in five out of the six wins. No one thought the Jazz would be playing as well as they have been this season and a big reason is the play of George Hill and Gordon Hayward. Hill has averaged 18 PPG while Hayward is averaging over 22 PPG.
Gold Rush
Like the Jazz, the Nuggets are coming into tonight’s game with a chip on their shoulder. The Nuggets lost 111-108 to the Timberwolves in heartbreaking fashion on Sunday when they gave up a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter.
While at home, the Nuggets are 10-11 this season. Coming into the new year, the Nuggets had a nasty losing streak that saw them lose five in a row. During the stretch they gave up more than 120 points in each game. But since then, they have won four out of six and haven't scored under 107 points in their last seven games.
