I tend to stay away from Lakers' totals, especially when in LA, too much shit seems to go down and it never seems right, fouls, TO, etc.

As far as the Lakers' bench outscoring the starters of Memphis and Memphis not having the horses, this is one of they youngest, most athletic clubs in the NBA, I don't think they will have any trouble keeping up; I expect them to set the tempo, and force the Lakers to try and keep up.

I know. They played a good 2nd and 3rd quarter, but at least I got on the right side of the line. I had to go against a couple of my favorite cappers too, but it was worth it.

Fatique will be a factor, but Marc Gasol never plays well against his brother Paul and the matchups on paper favours LA Lakers. Any others thoughts on this?
They have only played once this season on 11/06/09 in LA with the Lakers winning 114-98 as 9.5 favs.

The stats you threw out are useful though and correct, Lakers are 3-1 ATS in last 4 H2H, but 3 of 4 of them were from last season.

All the more info the better though, good post.

Agree, even if its tight after the 1st half, I look for the Grizz to pull away down the stretch.

8 out of 10 last games were at home for mem they're one loss was N.O. in ot by 7. i don't know but N.O. ain't the lakers. N.O. came into mem on a b2b and beat'em. at one point mem had a good lead on them and couldn't take control. now i know mem was on b2b too, but i think lakers are a team on an other level then these new teams just starting to get into a groove.

I can only get +2 at Bodog. Anyone who uses bodog might find this thread interesting. They are dealing dual lines.

i think that the lakers would win, i think kobe would not allow another letdown in these road games, kobe would want to finish with a better record than lebron

memphis 5-1 at home january, beat oklahoma city, phoenix, utah, clippers, and 1 other team.. 3 quality opponents there

if you are lookin at history of oh memphis vs Lakers, thats dumb - look at situational.
Memphis logs the most minutes of almost any team? They are still more rested than the Lakers.
Fukn people act like lakers are invincible.

I like Memphis here as well, they are young and athletic and can give LA problems. I am not playing this game though cause not only are the Lakers the most talented team in the NBA but they are the LUCKIEST, I cant believe how much shit has bounced their way this season. Everybody wants to talk about the last shot Kobe hit against Boston, what about the shot before by Ron Artest that hit the front of the rim rolled UP over and took all the paint off the rim and fell, unbelievable luck for them. If I did bet this game I would take Memphis but instead I am gonna sit back and root for LA to lose.

With you on Memphis here mate. Lakers struggled against the C's last night and now have to travel to play a b2b against a very good home team. Grizz are the play for me here. Same as the Wiz +5.

    GL to all.

Past ~10 posts very good, good job knowing what the books are thinking
Yo my problem with the wizards is their fukn starters none of them scored in double figures vs nets - whatever.. VERY WEIRD Book action not moving the line. Yo where do you get the %s from? I use sportsinsights - it says 84%/16% - still real weird.

just gonna say - betting a team like the wizards is a bad idea. celtics are good on the road, and its not like washington is far away from boston. i think you have to have some Actual reason to backup wizards besides the line movement weirdness. Rest is the only thing going for them.

Memphis has 3 of the top 19 mpg players on their team and i really believe they are starting to get tired, if it doesnt show tonight it will soon.

Go and find Odom? Phil knows what he is doing the lakers might lose tonight but i see the grizz heading in a dwonward spiral.

Pau didn't even play in the fourth quarter last night. I bet Phil was resting him so he could be the focal point of the offense tonight against his younger brother.

Grizz is weakest down low, if they get Gasol's little brother in foul trouble it could be all downhill from there. I expect the Lakers to go inside early and often in this one, if they can slow the pace down enough in this game to their liking this one has Lakers victory written all over it.
