Hello all some of you may be in deep doo-doo as far as sports betting goes. I am here to help you turn that around as you head into February 2010. Let me preface this post by saying that overall I am 27-34 betting sports for this month (.464) winning percentage but am usually between 57 and 64% of the time correct over any other given month as of July 2007 till December 2009.
That being said here are some terrific solid plays I like today covering ALL major sports (as I write this I have already wagered and won 2 of these bets):
a) Soccer: Egypt over Ghana money line: I don't know a lot about either country however a buddy of mine who is a soccer expert tipped on this one and the next soccer bet I am about to give.
b) Soccer: OVER 2.5 goals on Manchester United-Arsenal match: See Soccer bet above for reason why I made this bet.
c) NHL: Washington Capitals ML or (-1.5) to cover against TB Lightning. Capitals will be going for their 10th straight victory today at 12:00 pm Pacific time (3:00 ET) and usually play big against division foes. They will look to avenge a 7-4 road loss to Tampa Bay, which is a mediocre team at best, and look for Ovechkin to have a goal and an assist in a 5-1 route.
d) NBA: UNDER 198 total on Nets-76ers game: This game is a lock to me to go under 189. Every time these two teams play its usually a low scoring affair since back in 2007. Considering how pathetic both team have been of late expect this to be more of a DIV II college b-ball game than an NBA one. I expect it to be a 86-78 type of affair. Take the UNDER of 189 and thank me later.
e) NBA: Orlando (-5) will cover at Detroit: I know both these teams face each other back in early November like 5 games into the regualr season and DETROIT WON 85-80. However, Dwight Howard was an early foul trouble and only played 17 minutes and Rashard Lewis was suspended and DNP at all. Both of these guys are back and gelling with Orlando who has come off a very decisive win over division rival Atlanta. Expect them to play well and continue riding their high as they smash Detroit 92-83 the final.
f) Pro Bowl: NFC (-3) will cover versus AFC. Don't make too huge a bet on this game but with no Moss or Tom Brady going for the AFC squad, expect the offense to not jump out to too much of an early lead as expected. No Peyton Manning either. I see Adrian Peterson going off big time for the NFC team also as Tony Romo will be in sync with his NFC WR's early. Wade Phillps vs. Norv Turner could also mean that this game could turn out to be a very HIGH SCORING affair. You might wanna lean towards OVER 57.5, but I wouldn't touch that bet.
So there you have it.....my 6 bets to make a killing on this 1/31/10 Sunday afternoon. I should at least go 4-2 in which case if you tail all of these you will be n the green. Good luck all!
