Guys that took GS against the field , what are you doing for game 7?

I have a large future on GS and not confident at all. Thinking about taking Cleveland and the points and hope GS wins but they don't cover, or possibly on Cleveland ML, any thoughts?I have GS -130

I hedged 15k on cavs. I wanted to let it ride but it's just not smart not to walk away with this with at least being even

Awful bet you will lose so deal with it and ask yourself why being a square was worth your time and money

Did you hedge when they were down 3-1 to Okc? Game 6 against okc which was for the series? You were confident enough to lay -130 against the field but now ur not confident. Imo u let it ride, they have home call advantage and they will get all the calls. Lebron will get hacked to death but look at curry and it will be a foul. You can lock in small profit but i really doubt cleveland will be able to overcome the bad calls they are going to get in game 7. Let this be a reminder dont take teams when they are on top of the world. Price sucks as everyone wants them. There was a time less than a month ago when you could get them +650 and no one would touch it.

I have a Cleveland future and I've been winning nearly every Finals bet and expect Cleveland to win this by 10. As a GS fan I hope I'm wrong on this one and can jinx it posting here

Hard position to be in, GS has been a very good team at home this year, just look a the records/stats. Game 7...finals...Cavs will come to play but I just don't see them winning a 3rd game in a row against GS, GS is not going to lose the championship at home in front of their crowd. I'd like to see the Cavs win one for Cleveland, but it's not happening this year.

If you stand to win a good chunk of money from your future bet on GS then maybe just hedge a little bit on the Cavs....just in case Lebron and company pull it off but I highly doubt it.

Reposting a NCAA hoops answer, fully applicable here.

Too bad people does not understand the concept of hedging. Hedging is a tool to decrease risk and cash out of a position, not a way to gamble more. Also, as any other bet, it should aim to maximize bankroll growth. Hedging or not, and the hedging amount is heavily dependent on bankroll size. If your bankroll is big enough you should not hedge, unless the hedge bet is +EV on itself.

Also, I do not understand why many players think on spread first when hedging. The perfect hedge to get out of this position is a moneyline. Risking more to have a longshot for a middle is not worth it. It is a bit complicated to compute bankroll growth with middle chances, but almost always you get better results with the moneyline hedge.

So, in short. If your bankroll is big enough, you should hedge in full (and then slightly more) only if you consider Villanova ML as +EV. If you consider Nova ML as -EV, you should hedge less, or even no hedge. OTOH, if your bankroll is very small, you should hedge in full with Villanova ML always.

I miss SBRforum golden era, when Ganchrow would post the equations to demonstrate the issue, and give you a formula or even a spreadsheet to hedge optimally.

Curling up in the fetal position, probably in one of the closets of the house I'm visiting for Father's Day. I'm also condering doing that under the coats in the guest room, but its sposta be 95, so that's not likely.
