    just hope they don't slip to #3, would rather fall out of top 3 all together in that case.

    2017 pick is only top 3 protected again, so they'll need to tank again next year if they keep tonight's pick.

    2018 pick is unprotected to Philly, so they're going to lose a 1st rounder eventually - just a matter of when. personally, i'd rather it be tonight if they can't get the #1 or #2.

    Giant be patient pal. This reminds me of when magic retired and we went thru that sad few years. Eventually it all worked out. Being from the east coast I thank the lakers for some rest. It's not easy anymore to stay up for all those late playoff games year in year out.

    I don't think Simmons is worth the first pick no matter who gets it. 76ers are just failures over and over so would rather the lakers get the pick. At least they have the pedigree to eventually get of their hole they dug

    Bender perhaps. i know Mitch went to Israel to see him play and other teams have talked about him at #3 or #4

    no chance they make the playoffs next year unless all of these happen: get #1 + Durant signs + sign solid 2nd tier guy

    that said, it'll probably be hard for them to finish top 3 pick next year because of whatever new additions, natural progression, and Walton
