I know the Clips are on b2b and not necessarily the greatest team out there - but 10.5 points for the home team? and now up to -11.5?
Am I missing something here.... BOS hasn't blown anyone out lately - spare NJ, but who hasn't. Clips being on a b2b (played early enough to make the trip to Beantown early) isn't a good enough reason for this line to be so high.
My initial thoughts are in agreement, LAC getting that many points is worth jumping on. As you look deeper into it though, Baron has a lot of trouble with fast matchups and Rondo fits that bill. In their previous matchup, the Clips won by 2 with Pierce not playing. I think the under is a more safe play but I would go Boston -11.5.
I think that if you want to take Clippers it would be better to take them for the 1st half. They normally do better against above .500 teams during the 1st half and then they crumble under pressure during the 2nd half. That is also when better teams tend to step up their game and defense, figuring out what they need to do differently.
