His finish was kind of a joke though. Definitely a legend regardless of how this game played out.

He took 50 shots and didn't even make half of them. Jazz let him win.

Bryant was smothered and double teamed on several positions. He had no air space all game. Jazz defended him well. No other hall of famer has ever scored more than 30 in an exit game. Yeah he shot 50 times. You think it's easy to get 50 shots off in an nba game? You think that Barkley or Shaq or Jason Kidd could get off 50 shots in an nba game in their last year of their careers?

Goat, don't waste your time. These idiots don't get it, they never will. He's the most special player and tonight was the final fcck you to all these morons.

You dumb fccks think his baskets were gimmes tonight or something? One of the greatest ever dug deep one last time, and reminded us why he's Kobe Bryant and everyone else is everyone else.

Bryant is the second best player in history imo. he was on track to be better than jordan before the chris paul veto and dantoni running him into the ground 40 minutes a night 48 some nights.

He was robbed of 2 mvps because of the "rape"

kobe that one season he averaged 35.4 is the second best season I've seen after one of Jordan's. Kobe was dropping 50 like every night it seemed.

I've never seen someone be able to dominate a game offensively and defensively like bryant. just jordan. lebron and wade had a couple years on both ends in their primes and were like that but kobe and jordan did it the longest.

bryant is the best 1 on 1 defender i've ever seen in his prime. A lot like jordan but the two were much different.

i laugh at people that say tim duncan is a better player than bryant. lol. look at duncan now at 39 (still a really good player)....and look at bryant. bryant just single handedly WON an nba game at 38 years old. Just think about that statement when you remember the tenacity and the drive of Kobe Bryant.

    The Legend.

    Thank you Kobe.

    For you it doesn't matter.

They inspire me in my own career. These guys were artists at their craft.

    You can learn from that.

The media always props these things up "kobe puts up 60 points!!!"

He had 50 FG attempts, and Utah was air-balling 3's at the end of the game lol.

Not to downplay what he's accomplished in his career though.

meaningless game for utah. why not let him have the last hurrah?

if utah needed this win to make the playoffs, do people really think they would let kobe score 60?

Did you guys watch the game? He was well guarded. Never mind, no point in wasting my time. Yeah, Kobe sucks. He's awful and he's a ballhog and he's a rapist and he's a bad teammate. I'm so glad I grew up in Los Angeles and never had to feel this pathetic basketball jealousy you blind fools all suffer from. Wouldn't trade this guy for the world.

You guys defending Kobe just don't get it

Yes he's one of the best 5 players to ever play the game, not taking away from that

But shooting 50 times in a game is ridiculous...no they weren't gimmes and that's why he missed more than half of them. He's a shooter, he always has been and he always will be. That's why he makes 20 million dollars a year for the past 20+ years. He's supposed to make the shots. In 10 years from now he could probably do the same given 50+ attempts in a NBA game. Michael Jordan could probably throw on a jersey tomorrow and score 40-50 points if you let the guy shoot FIFTY TIMES.

Imagine if the Jazz weren't eliminated already...Kobe sees some even tougher D, shoots 10-50, scores 28pts and people can laugh even more at this "great" circus game to conclude his circus season of shooting 35% and the only good thing he did after fuking his team for 3 years was give them lottery picks.

Doesn't take away from his great career, but this whole season was laughable. To think this last game would "put a stamp on a legendary career" is laughable.

What would of been considered a "choke" of a game?

15 points on 4-18 shooting which happened 11 times this season? There was no pressure or hype. He's been done for a couple years, only relevant because it's his final season and the circus that comes along with it.

He'd shoot 2-15 in a game and nobody would give him shit because "hey it's his last season and the team sucks"

Imagine the Jazz in the huddle in the 4th qtr..."Guys just make it look like you're trying, but make sure we send Kobe off in style." They had nothing to play for, if they did, I believe that the Jazz blow out the lakers by 20+

If Jordan were to have took as many shots as kobe in his final game, Jordan would have put up closer to 100 points. Fact.

Jordan & Kobe ...best two players to ever play the game, Kobe scored over 50 points 26X, over 60 points 6X, and who can forget 81.

What an ending to a legendary 20 year career last night....the game will miss him

Number of shots of course is a key but you have to be great to get them in nba

It takes a lot of work and skill to create your own shots

Michael Jordan is in a class of his own shame you missed watching him play. Kobe actually patterned his game after MJ so no surprise to the comparisons. No doubt Kobe is a legend in his own right he proved he could win titles even without Shaq. Just think MJ made teammates raise their level of play like no other because of his will to win. No arguing about talent and athleticism for both they were off the charts when it comes to raw ability and conditioning.
