grizz set a record of having 28 different players on roster in one season. and they're in the playoffs somehow despite two massive losses in conley and gasol, the two players they will be building the team around in the future once the days of the "core four" are over in the next couple of years. it was often ugly, but they somehow made it in with damn near a d-league team down the stretch. gotta give the man his due!

They almost derailed history tonight. With Jordan Farmar lining up against Steph Curry

I'd give it to Brad Stevens. I still have no fukking idea how you win 47-49 games with that roster.

But yeah, you better believe Steve Kerr (shared with Luke Walton) gets it especially since he didn't last year.

He's just running that team on auto pilot. Lionell Hollins should get credit for their success because he created them. I'd have more respect for him if he took a losing team and got them to play like this (as Hollins did).

Kerr gets it this year, no doubt.

The Grizzlies are an awful franchise. They made nice moves in drafting Gasol/ Conley, and even Mayo i would say. But what have they done since? Nothing. They have pieces that are v.easy to build around! I hope Conely leaves this summer and Gasol follows suit later.

They should have gotten much much better pieces back when they decided to offload Rudy Gay. Many people will say they were better off without him, and while that's possibly true there's no way you couldn't get better than a washed up Tayshaun Prince and Ed Davis for him.

The problem was they signed him to that stupid contract. The Raptors did them a favour in taking him off their books.

Typical of their mis-management... I remember their previous owner being adamant they were going to re-sign Gay when he was a restricted FA. Rather than let the market dictate his contract they went out and gave him the max.

SACRAMENTO -- Dave Joerger is safe.

According to an NBA source, the Kings coach's job never was in jeopardy last week, and he is secure, as general manager Vlade Divac said in a public statement issued during Saturday's game against the Rockets.

That isn't a guarantee Joerger will coach out the rest of the season or finish the final year of his contract next season. But it's an assurance that the immediate threat is over.

Joerger will be happy to hear all that, but it still doesn't put to bed the Yahoo Sports headline from over the weekend: “Disagreement over Kings’ direction could lead to Dave Joerger’s dismissal.”

The postmortem likely will continue as reporters sift through the wreckage of another misstep in Sacramento. Someone went to the press, and the rebuttal is almost as strong as the original headline.

Whatever the intention was from the sources of the Dave Joerger story over the weekend, it seems to have backfired. Fanbase is amped up in support of Joerger.

Yep. Joerger is the NBA's answer to Belichick.

A Kings victory over the Suns tomorrow will place them 4 games over .500 for the first time since November 25, 2014 when they were 9-5.

I agree, Kenny Atkinson easily. He & S.Marks had v.little to work with when they signed up. Marks has made good moves and Atkinson has established a winning culture. He's a coaches coach -he likes coaching..

The NBA also left Kenny Atkinson off of the finalists for coach of the year, come on! The Nets had no buisness being as good as they were. Great coach.
