    tonight's game trend

    06/07/2007
    21:05 ET Cleveland Cavaliers
    San Antonio Spurs 181.0
    -7.5 180.0
    -7.5 +305
    -370
    180
    -7.5

    54%
    46% 33%
    67% 38%
    62%

people are betting on cavaliers on the spread, spurs on ML, and under for the game. seems right to me.

Is anyone betting the Cavs ML?

I can get it at +330, very tempting.

I looked a sportsbook a long time ago, but they never updated it seemed like at all. Carib and wagerline are the two you want to probably use if your wanting to know these types numbers.

Carib claims to update there numbers every 3 minutes, so you might want to check it out as we get closer to gametime bud.

The public is strongly backing Cleveland here. No surprise, given how the hype machine is all pointed towards James and 7.5 appears like a high line. If there's a play to be made, it's on San Antonio. Fortunately, I'm not betting or watching this game, just playing under from game 2-x.

Given that the sportsbook.com ML market is -400/+320, balanced action would imply about 77% on San Antonio and about 23% on Cleveland.

Given 67% on the Spurs and 33% on the Cavs, it would appear that the public (at Sportsbook.com anyway) has a preference for the Cavs money line rather than the Spurs.

So for what it's worth the Cavs money line is the public play.

I'll say it again. The Cavs ML in game 1 is an absolute donation. The jump from the Pistons to the Spurs (from a team and coaching perspective) will be like jumping from DIII to DI. Tonight isn't going to be pretty for Cleveland ML backers.
