Who's your NBA MVP at halfway point in season?

We are halfway through the season and am interested in seeing peoples thoughts on NBA MVP at the moment.
    My top 3 choices are
    Kobe
    Lebron
    Melo
Appreciate the input..may think of betting one side if get enough people to lean towards one player..peace

How anyone can pick Kobe over Lebron just stuns me. Lebron has more points, rebounds, assists, blocks, better fg %, 3pt %. On a team with no help compared to the lakers.

The only way you could choose Kobe is if you are a biased fan.

I agree, not only is he putting up points but he is controlling games. I dont think he is better than either Lebron or Kobe but is MVP because without him OKC is < .500

Kobe was looking like the favourite for a while but he is a big banged up at the moment and his shooting the last few games has been poor. Lebron in front at the moment.

It has to be Durant. His team has won more games than all of last year. The kid is a big time star in a small time city. He cant be guarded cause of his height and he makes everyone around him better.

If he adds bulk to his frame, he could become legendary.

Lebron is the current favorite, by far. He is playing better than last year in just about every aspect of the game, and he won last year with ease.

Right now: Lebron James is the clear leader followed by Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant in that order.

Guys, if you name anyone besides Lebron right now you are trying way to hard to be original. He's the best player on the best team in the league right now and the stats prove it as well. Durant is having a great year but he wouldn't even be second right now, that would be Carmelo.

Give me a legitimate argument why he wouldn't be MVP right now? He has a PER of 31.3, next closest is 27.4. The Cavs are 32-11. Lebron has an estimate wins added value of 17.2, next closest is 12.2.

Oh yeah, not to mention he's more important to his team than any player in the league.

What's your issue? Either debate with actual points or just keep to yourself. I've told you many reasons why he IS the MVP, you've told me no reason why he ISN'T the MVP.

Lebron averages 8 assists a game as a SF. He is perhaps the most liked teammate in the NBA. I'm not saying Steve Nash isn't, but you're not exactly differentiating him from Lebron with those statements.

theres a difference between a humble player and one that dances like a chicken and puts up 50 a night mvp is a player who makes everyone else better lebron makes lebron better he should win the lebron chucking up shots and getting calls from the refs award

only reason he gets any assists is because hes on the whole game and gets double teamed which forces the guy to finally pass it up

Alright, I'm done arguing with you are you sound nothing but dumb and childish. Try watching him play sometime and you will understand. Did you ever read the Bill Simmons article I mentioned yesterday? Lebron could put up 50 a game if he wanted to be selfish, but he doesn't In fact, he often gets criticized for being TOO unselfish.

When you attitude and your knowledge of the NBA matures, we can have a real debate. Until then, I'm done.
