For what it's worth: Griffin is good friends with this staff member. They routinely hang out off the court at home and on the road.

Both Griffin and the staff member have been sent back to Los Angeles following the incident. The Clippers will issue a statement later.

According to @michaeleaves, incident happened outside of Toronto restaurant. Equipment staff member was hit several times; needed treatment.
