Durant is a big timer LB.

Guy is as talented a scorer as anyone.

Can get to the rim and shoot with the best.

    Hopefully he goes to Wizards.

Stick a physical defender on him and he checks out. Durant still needs a post up game even though he's been in the league for like 8 years or whatever it is.

Seems too fragile to hold up a franchise.

That being said, he could be a 30/10 guy for the right team/system.
Gervin did it with much more physical defenses.

You mean Westbrook the "ball hog" who's leading the league in assists?

Couldn't do it. Salaries are going even higher soon, and injuries have been an issue lately. In the same breath, I think he will sign back with OKC. He has strong ties with the community there, and they will offer him the max to stay.

This is moronic. NBA is defined by the stars; either you have 2-3 special guys on your team or have zero chance to win a title. If Durant is healthy, he is a top-5 guy in the league. So yeah, any team will be lucky to get him, provided there are no long-term health issues.

I see Russell Westbrook going back to LA, when his contract expires, to play for the Lakers before I see Durant playing for the Wizards.

JJgold thought the Hawks would beat the Cavs last year. He doesn't understand the concept that you don't beat good teams without star players.

Exactly. Westbrook gets too much hate.

There is a reason I've had a Westbrook avatar for like the last four years. I would back up the truck to pay Westbrook before I would for Durant.

Durant is obviously a great player but I kept thinking his body would mature and he would put in work in the off-season to add some meat to his frame. That never happened. He is what he is.

I find it pretty pathetic that an average joe like me can find time to workout five days a week while working a 9-5 job but Durant can't and basketball is Durant's job. Durant couldn't even bench press 185 before the 2007 draft. That's extremely week. 185 is like a warmup set that you should be able do do like 20 times to stretch out with. Like WTF.

You eat more and workout harded. It's really not that complicated.

It is ridiculous that he hasn`t added any muscle to his frame.
Nobody expects him to look like LBJ, but EVERY SINGLE GREAT pro athlete has improved his body in the first few years after turning pro.

I would take Westbrook over KD now as well. I also think he will be gone at the end of his contract.

Obviously I want to keep both of them but if I had to choose, I would keep Westbrook. Ironically, I think there is a better chance KD stays and Westbrook becomes a Laker. It will be interesting.

You exactly right about adding muscle. I'm not expecting him to look like Lebron but if anyone works at it, they can become stronger. If you're only job in life is basketball, how hard is to to hit the gym for an hour a day to gain strength and improve your game?

I gave him a pass early in his career because I kept thinking he would fill out. At this point, it's apparent he isn't going to hit the weights.

Tf you guys talking about? He was a stick in college. He packed on a decent amount of weight. Dude is 6'10" you know how hard bench pressing is with long arms? I'd like to see you do 185 20x

I warmup with 185 20x and then start with 225 and pyramid up. I now feel like a douche for saying that since you probably won't believe me anyway but my point is, a professional athlete that gets paid millions of dollars shouldn't be that weak. It really doesn't take that much effort to put on some size.

I'm not saying the guy has to be Lebron. He just needs add at least some strength and weight. He gets pushed around by smaller defenders like Tony Allen.

Report: People Around NBA Believe Kevin Durant Could Sign With Warriors

Would Kevin Durant trade in his blue and orange for blue and gold? Apparently some people around the NBA believe the Oklahoma City Thunder’s impending free agent could depart to sign with reigning MVP Stephen Curry and the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors this summer, according to ESPN’s Chris Broussard. Broussard warns that everything is speculative and that nothing is leaking out of Durant’s camp, but rather that people around the league wouldn’t be shocked to see it happen — though the general public might be. Financially, Pro Basketball Talk’s Dan Feldman lays out the basics of how it could work, and it’s really not that much of a stretch. He also points out that, back in May, Klay Thompson’s father Mychal, a former NBA player himself, heard on “good authority” that the Warriors would “go hard after” Durant. We’re still a long way away from free agency, but nothing really would surprise us at this point.
