They perhaps have more hunger than that Miami team last year but hunger can only take you so far against a superior team.

My original thought after game 1 was that today would be a blowout but there's always that uneasiness after a major injury. I obviously didn't think Cleveland would win either but I can't say I'm overly shocked.

It might end up like the Memphis series where they take 1 more game to figure it out but Memphis is much better than Cleveland without Irving so I doubt it.

Yeah I mean there's always the old "team of destiny" thing, Mavs in 2011 after all the playoff disappointments, nobody on their team had a ring, Dirk's last shot, the Heat in 2012 after LeBron's game 6 in Boston, the Spurs last year after the way they lost the previous year. But at the end of the day you still have to beat the other team which is equally hungry to win a championship.

Yeah if you could win NBA titles just on effort and battling through injuries the Chicago Bulls would currently have a dynasty going on that would be challenging Michael Jordan's.

If the Cavs were playing another opponent from another year, just maybe (that said I'm not sure who, the team that wins the West every year tends to be a fairly good basketball team).
