is he going to be on the bench for the warriors during the finals? he's their big offensive strategist.

very poor timing for the Warriors.. this is a flow disruptor
    affects team unity.. team vibe
if i was GSW, i would have forbidden Pelicans from speaking with him,
    until playoffs were over.

he'll still coach through the finals though, i just read. i don't think it will matter much, they're pros looking for a title, and i'm sure he wants that title on his resume too. as long as he's there i think everything will be business as usual.

Hmmm. So Pelicans have named a coach and Magic have named a coach. Where does that leave Thibodeau?

still a buzz-kill.. mission NOT accomplished yet... and a big piece of the Offense is making plans to leave.
That's a team they were playing three weeks ago..

like being at dinner with a group, and someone at your table is on the phone making plans to leave early..
speaking on the phone.. "great!.. can't wait.. see you soon!"

i would be like.. "can't you wait until AFTER dinner?!"

we're doing something here that doesn't happen every year..
sometimes it only happens once in a career

(which by the way is what makes LeBron so special)
with LeBron it DOES happen every year

Probably was intentional. There was a lot of hate between Thibs and management.

Good analysis and a great comparison with the dinner guest. Something doesn't feel right about it. The Pelicans can't be in that big of a hurry to hire an average coach. I could see if the were Going to get Steve Kerr.............But Alvin Freaking Gentry??????????

Dude, cut the fuckin jokes! What Lebron is doing is so fuckin special?! Was it special when Iverson went to the Finals in 01? or when the peasants called the Nets and Pacers went to the Finals? Going to the Finals out the East don't mean shit. Was it special when he was up 2 games to 1 and got his ass kicked by Dirk on his home fukkin court? Seroiusly, stopped being brainwashed by TNT and ESPN who have an obvious bias because they are in business with this dude.

That being said, they gonna win it this year because GS aint ready.

Williams sucked they had the personnel to be great on defense and gave up layups and open 3s to everyone. Also team played too slow of a pace

did Iverson go to 5 straight Finals? (no, he went to a single one)

    did he win that Finals?

did he win 4 League MVP Trophies?

did he make all of his teammates better?

is he a Top 5 Scorer? did he finish Top 5 in ANY category?

did any big name players ditch their teams to go play with Iverson?

    what about Reggie Miller?

    get serious.

LeBron is already legendary, and he is just 30 years old.

James is top 2 all around players ever

Can you imagine James playing with the guys Magic or Bird did??

I think their success was inflated by hall of famers around them

if you switch Kareem Abdul-Jabaar with Varejao... what does Magic accomplish..? how many Rings?

    KAREEM:

    1st NBA All-Time POINTS

    3rd NBA All-Time REBOUNDS

    3rd NBA All-Time BLOCKED SHOTS

    6-TIME NBA LEAGUE MVP
    (most ever)

    are you kidding?

with Kareem as Center.. LeBron would have 6-8 Rings already..!!
    especially back then

I'd suspect he would have done all that and probably more had he been 6'8 270 instead of 6'0 160, let that soak in. Reverse Bron's talent with Iverson's height. I'm not sure he would have lasted 5 years in league let alone amass
    26,000 pts.
