Earnst and Young finally got it right. 4 digit numbers with a thousand draws. Takes the randomness out of the process. The percentages will prove out 99% of the time now.
    My buddy works for them.

    Who should Minn take?

I think towns would be intriguing fit. Okafor's post ability could draw double teams and open things up for wing guys like Wiggins and LaVine who can both get to the rim pretty well and shoot the 3.

Curious to see if Min takes Towns or Okafor, Laker fans should hope for Towns to fall to them, 76ers will take the Russell, Muiday will be a knick, which i like for them. After that who knows...

I think towns should be the pick for the t wolves. Good defensive player. Also a guy who shoots FT at 88% is always good. If you can make FTs at a clip like that, you can learn to develope a great jump shot

Okafor is fat, slow and cannot shoot he will be average. I like Mudiay and Towns the most.

Minny should be a playoff team next year with Towns

He is clearly the best player and can change a team

I think drafting towns is a longer term move while drafting Okafor is an immediate impact move. Okafor is a more polished NBA ready player who can contribute immediately where as Towns may take a season or two to find his stride in the NBA. His FT% is very impressive but I think it will be a couple years before we see Anthony Davis level of play from the guy.

Okafor is intriguing pick because his post up game could require double teams / abuse mismatches.

Towns seems like he will be more of a pick and roll guy, something that might suit the Twolves better though with explosive guys on the wings.

Not sure who they should take.

No one from this draft will produce Anthony Davis level of play.

Okafor is NBA-ready?! He can't defend ANY big men in the NBA. Other teams will deploy Hack-a-Jahlil if they need to, as Okafor hits half his FTs if he's lucky.

Okafor won't do shit next year in NBA, but I believe Towns could be a decent player next year.

Depending on where Mudiay goes, I believe he and Willie Cauley Stein have the two biggest IMMEDIATE impacts in NBA.

I didn't really mean Anthony Davis level of play. Just that they have similar skill sets. Jahlil is still young and with that size and footwork I think he could develop into a decent defender at the NBA level. I just think if either were to be stars, it would take Towns a couple years to really start producing at high level offensively where as I think Jahlil has a near NBA level post up game already.

Yes sorry I only meant offensively. I just think he can be a guy that will require extra attention down on the block.

Both guys have tremendous upside. I think the style that Towns plays make him a slightly more attractive prospect overall. Pekovic still has 3 more years on his contract and will likely remain the starting center regardless of who they pick. They aren't paying him $12 Million to come off the bench, I wouldn't think. They are probably weakest at the guard positions in my opinion. I hate Rubio though for no discernible reason.

But the talent is too much to pass up.

I am also kinda low on Mudlay. I have seen DX's scouting video from his performances in the CBA playoffs and he made a number of boneheaded decisions. Great court vision but seems like he often takes bad shots. He will have to be less selfish to be successful in this league early on.

So, let's translate this to HOW CAN WE MAKE MONEY ON THIS?

Bovada and TopBet have very different odds on this prop:
1st overall pick in NBA draft
    Towns (-200 / -700)
    Okafor (+175 / +300)

What are some of the other books showing???

T-Wolves seem to go for a certain type of center, big ass defensive ones. Pekovic sucks, and Dieng is a little better.

I think Towns could fit right in, provide defense and blocks down low, while still allowing Wiggins to provide the scoring.

Okafor would be drafted for his offensive upside, but would require a change of overall game planning. I just don't see it.

    I'm taking Towns -200

    Sharp Dom. Very Sharp.

I would jump on the towns bandwagon for -200

Okafor has openly discussed his wanting to play for the Lakers. I think this prop should definitely be closer to -700 than -200

Really nice and I agree 100. Only problem is the rumor Towns wants to be a Laker and may have given some kind of Kobe like ultimatum that he won't play for Minny so they better not draft him. These things come from somewhere and to me laying -200 is risky so no bet for me. If that rumors true okafor at +300 might be an amazing value, or the field at +500 on Bovada because of the changes needed for wolves to take okafor that you described above.
