top 5 current nba point guards

I'm going to do one for each position but will start with point guards. I just want to see where perception is on this because I remember so many people sucking rondos d.ick over the last couple years who say he sucks now. Or deron williams going to carry the nets as a great point guard when the nets got pierce and garnett. So lets open the discussion for debate and ill check this in the morning. Here are my five in order:

    1. Curry
    2. Westbrook
    3. Parker
    4. Lilliard
    5. Paul

I'm writing rose off this list because hes a walking injury machine and if you cant put a season together in 2 years then you cant live off your mvp season forever

If Rose can't live off his past then Parker can't either. He is not the same player THIS year as he was in the past. Remove parker and put in Kyle Lowry

People seem to forget defence when ranking point guards. There is no way Paul should be behind curry, the latter is a superior shooter but that is it.

Rose has had one year 2 years ago, parker has a championship just last year. Big difference. Im not looking at who puts up huge numbers, theres more to a point guard then just that

    Curry

The top 4 are a no brainer (in no order):

    Curry
    Paul
    Westbrook
    Lillard

You can argue about #5 between Irving, Wall, Rose, Lowry, Conley. I'd probably give the nod to Irving but tough to say.

I wouldn't even put Wall in the top 10. Dude is so so overrated. Utterly useless in the halfcourt.

He has been the leading scorer all year before W.B. had 10.5 triple doubles in 1 week.

So then LeBron should be in this conversation too right? And while we're at it passing bigs too - Gasol, Noah, Griffin?

Well no cuz Lebron is a forward not a guard. See Harden plays the guard position and 90% of every possession runs through his hands. I like ya'll think I'm crazy for mention Harden. How is he not arguably the best PG for his TEAM...

So a shooting guard who has the ball in his hands most of the time is a PG in your book (Harden) but a small forward who does the exact same thing (LeBron) doesn't fit the bill? Makes zero sense. Do you consider Kobe to be a point guard too? How about D Wade?

If your argument is that NBA is positionless these days fine, but then you have to put LeBron in the discussion too.

Yup LeBron is #1 then . Cause I see him bringing the ball down the court 90% of the time too. Yup. Lolol

No but for real though if your looking at it like that then Kobe and Paul George have to be in the top 5.

Why can't I make that argument? HE is a freak of nature. No one else in the NBA does what Harden does for his team. How many shooting guards play this game? He has developed into this player for HOU who doesn't need a PG because they have HARDEN. Here what I'm trying to say? Yall are trying to play me and be smart and mention other FORWARDS... BUT it really isnt the same. LETS be honest HARDEN should be mentioned because no one else does what he does! Okay I can see the Lebron angle maybe, but really your mentioning him to mock what I'm trying to argue.
