The Mavericks were like Superman during the regular season, but the Warriors have been their kryptonite, so look for Golden State to complete the first round upset tonight.
With the spread on this game set so low, we will go for the gusto and just play the underdog Warriors on the money line only.
While we have all the respect in the world for the Mavericks’ 67-15 season, they simply could not have asked for a worse first round matchup. Not only does Golden State lead this series 3-2, but they are also 4-1 against the spread so far, and the lone non-cover was by a bucket with some help from the referees. The Warriors blew the Mavs out in every game played in Oakland this season until the last one, and we actually think that it is to Golden State’s benefit that they won that game by four points, as it showed that they are capable of winning close games here too.
This recent success is no fluke either, as the Warriors are now an incredible 21-6-2 ATS in the last 29 head-to-head meetings! This is obviously not your typical one vs. eight matchup, and we look for Golden State to complete the impossible dream here by sending the team with the best record in basketball home for the summer.
