What is the most reliable source for public bet trends?

Right now I'm looking at NO/LAL game for Sunday and I have SportsInsights and TheSpread showing me 89% of the public on LAL@+2.5, while I have ScoresAndOdds showing me 84% of the public on NO.

    WHY?

My suspicion would be that early on sites might have different information but closer to the games it all starts to balance out since they're dealing with a larger sample. Obviously they don't all get their info from the same places.

That said it's very hard to consider any of this information accurate. I wouldn't use it as anymore more than a slight indication and no bet should just be "fading the public".
