    Why bet on favorites?

Seriously, betting on a team that has a + means you're gonna win money

Betting on a team with a - next to their name means you're gonna lose...

At least that's what it seems like...

Underdog is more hungry and motivated seeing as how they're playing for respect and pride. The favorite usually doesn't take their opponents as seriously as they should, causing them to play lethargic and not have their head in the game.

If I bet on the underdog instead of betting on the favorite, I would have sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much money.

    Lol
Exactly you'll win and lose about evenly if u go that route. The bottom line is people want easy money instead of doing their homework but it doesn't work that way.

you're right... it's business.. if every favor win and cover then sportbook won't be in business... it just a common sense.. most people pick favor to win... but did not realize that point spread is the determining result of betting.

let's say you bet into closing lines and there was no juice.

if you played every fav you'd break even. if you played every dog you'd break even. because the % of them winning correlated with the line. so even with no juice, mathimatically you'd break even and betting would be a waste of time.

seeing as how there is juice, if you bet every fav you lose money, and if you bet every dog you lose money. you are paying 60% on a fav that has a 57% chance of winning, and paying 46% on a dog that has a 42% chance of winning. you cant win this way.
