No one in the NBA gets that anymore. All we hear is that this is a "star" league, and that you have to have "stars" to win titles.

While that may be somewhat true in certain aspects of the game, there aren't "stars" everywhere. These punk kids with their monstrous contracts all think they're stars. If they put up big surface numbers, they're treated like stars. They don't care about D or passing or anything else it actually takes to win.

Amazing that the Spurs can win it all a year ago, yet for the most part, these franchises ignore the core principles and instead run on the dysfunctional belief that "stars" will rescue them. So you wind up with the guys like Rose, who make the billboards, commercials, the huge long-term deals -- yet they couldn't care less about playing team ball or, more importantly, winning. You know, the whole point of basketball supposedly.
