    Benny, you nailed it.
Majority of "NBA fans" absolutely idolize this guy, if you don't you're considered a "hater".
I like him as a player but I absolutely despise him as the most egotistical/attention whore of this league.
No I will not download Lebron's app to get notifications of when he wipes his ass.

It's not about knowing exact numbers its about having common sense, he wasnt gonna make 15 mil even over 2 years with the Celtics so how could he turn down that offer to make 15 mil less over 2 years. Not to mention he signed a 3 yr deal with the Heat.

OP needs to realize, that there aren't 32 teams in the NBA, but it's ok, since many people don't do well, when angry.

Now let's get to the point. LeBron has the worst attitude in the NBA among all the superstars just like Cristiano Ronaldo in soccer.
They both flop, bytch about the calls, like to be attention whores etc. He said, he wants to be the greatest of all time, but he'll never be, because of his attitude. He's a grown man with a character of a brat and The Decision is just one of the many consequences of his character.
Putting The Decision aside, he made a right choice by going to Miami. The problem in Cleveland was that they flew high and fell deep. And when the expectations and ambitions weren't met, everything collapsed.
Other than that, LeBron will go down in history as a 2nd best SF behind Bird. 2/3 championships in 3 consecutive years (this year it's probably gonna be 2/4) is far from being bad and disgraceful. Beating a team in the Finals who has the best coach in the league, is something you don't see every day.

The reason Ray left Boston had nothing to do with money. First off the Celtics wanted him to come off the bench and start Avery Bradley, which Ray didn't want to do. Second, the Celtics tried to trade him and in fact thought they had a deal done with Memphis to aquire OJ Mayo, Doc Rivers even told Allen in the locker room that he had been traded, then shortly after, the trade fell through and he stayed in Boston. Lastly, it's widely known he never got along with Rajon Rondo and didn't like playing with him. Ray Allen left Boston because he felt disrespected by the organization and wanted a chance to win another ring before his career was over, so he signed with Miami.

One of the Main Problems for the NBA today is they do not have as many superstar players as in years past. Saying James has ruined the NBA is absurd. The regular season is horseshit. Like someone stated too many teams. James has a target on his back because he is the face of the NBA. In years past you had quite a few prominent personalities to deflect the spotlight. Not now.

This guy thought Howie Kendrick pitched for the Phillies, doesn’t know how regulation bets work in hockey and is clueless on 3-way betting rules in soccer. His brain was fried years ago.

Howard's problem is his height & wingspan for a big man. Besides, he is terrible in the post. And he will probably never win that ring with a garbage coach like Kevin McHale. Tony Romo isn't the worst man on the Cowboys with his frequent bad decisions. That franchise just sucks all the way from their D to their management.

He's the most selfish person in the history of the NBA, and that's quite a feat considering he has to beat out Kobe for that award.
He's not an icon, shouldn't be a role model.
He should be an example of what not to be in the NBA.
A pussy, a coward, and a selfish little punk.
    PERIOD.

Here's an idea, lets throw out the other 28 teams in the league and just have a 4 team league full of nothing but All-stars, without having to spit in the faces of every single hard working franchise trying to form a winning basketball team legitimately for their city.

This shit is out of control.
I really hope as Knicks fan they don't re-sign Melo, I like him but he's got to go if the Knicks wants to form a winning team, but if he leaves and goes to the Heat the NBA has to step in and do something.

Teams get all sorts of fines and punishments for cheating, why shouldn't him and the Heat be included?
The NBA has given them a free pass through all this shit.
Countless players took minimum contract, THE BIG 3 cheaters all took less money.
Ray Allen took 15 million less in a 2 year contract!!!!

Can't wait to see the Spurs hoist that trophy up later this week.
The fact that Lebron and the Heat will have played 4 years together and only won 2 championships is a complete failure and underachievement.

25 years from now, all you will hear is how Lebron changed/ruined free agency forever, and how he buried the league. No one will give 2 shits about the few measly rings he won after cheating it up to form a team because he couldn't handle the pressure of winning one on the up and up.

The NBA is a fukkin joke.
There's to much ignorant stuff in this post for me to digest, but let me ask you one question. How would you feel if Lebron opted out and signed with the Knicks next year to play with Melo, and the Knicks also traded for Kevin Love? I have a feeling you wouldn't have a problem with that scenario. You sound like a frustrated Knicks fan, since your team is garbage and will be garbage for years to come. Had Lebron decided to sign with NY four years ago, you would have been in heaven. The prettiest girl in school didn't want to go out with you, so now you hate her for choosing someone else, get over it. And don't worry Melo isn't coming to Miami. I find it funny that all the people who hate on Lebron would do anything to have him on their team. Jealousy isn't a good trait.

LOL...The league has been in the business of show business for many years...and the fans continued to flock..Laker game were more famous for the celebrities at the games than the score...hahaha...One team won in the 90's...the games were rigged for Shaq and Kobe when the competition became to fierce post 2000...and you have to nerve to blame Lebron for what the NBA has become? you better settle down sonny....

The problem that you and many others of your ilk seem to have is that the power has seemingly shifted in various degrees from the owners to the players...mind you..Pat Riley and Arrison are the ones really in charge...but kudos to the few players who had the moxy to try and compete on their own terms...Where were you when the super teams of the 80's, 90's were being put together...for the sake of ad revenue and public exposure? If you are even old enough to remember....

Kobe is much worse. Kobe also has a look of disgust many times when a teammate decides to shoot the ball instead of passing to him. Ive seen this look when a teammate even hits a game winner then after the shot goes in he's running over like a school girl to congratulate them.

I am glad Lebron had the Denver Nuggets to leave Cleveland. We all have the choice of staying with our current employer, and if a chance happens to go to the employer where wages(or the chance of making bling) are more possible, then that is an opportunty we may risk taking on. If Lebron stayed with Cleveland, everyone reminds him he has no ring. He has now won a few rings. He can choose where he wants to play now. He can choose New York, tomorrow, for all I care. The same slight is flung at Dan Marino, oh, he never tasted a Super Bowl, so he must not have been a very good player. Just change teams and go where your talents are used more effectively on a team. There comes a time when you have enough money, money is no longer enough. Win that award that says your team is the best, cause bling don't lie. Everyone else is just haters.

Like its been stated welcome to the nba where the same teams in big markets get all the stars and rings....except your Knick lol. Sorry Benny just the way it is not everything in sports is equally balanced and it certainly did not start with LeBron. I'm sure you are not that stupid it's just the frustration talking. Hey you guys got Melo and now Phil you think a shit team in a bad market like Milwaukee had that chance?!? Most of NYK problems have been self inflicted ov the years with terrible contracts, bad coach hires , bad trades. Don't blame LeBron!

Oh yeah and a terrible front office! Tired of hearing fans from these big market teams with all the $$ bitching. You have every advantage at your disposal to succeed unlike most. It all starts with getting the right people upstairs running the show. Now you got Phil, gonna have plenty of $$, great market the league wants and needs to succeed. All about getting the right personnel with chemistry. Again not to pick on Waukee there are 20 other teams in the nba we will NEVER see get the opportunity to play in the finals for the aforementioned reasons. Least the Knicks are in the mix if they don't fukk things up again.

lebron was not fortunate like magic and bird to be drafted to gifted teams and they were the missing piece. jordan goes to a large market chicago and they make a genius draft choice getting pippen in 87, just a few years after jordan got there.

kobe luckily lands in LA and soon after so does Shaq. they win 3 rings together then shaq leaves and 4 years later pau gasol lands in the lakers lap.

KG, ray allen, get inside traded to boston (by mchale) to join pierce so they can get a ring together.

Lebron? he wins 61 games in cleveland 2010 the leaves, and every single cleveland player stays behind and promptly wins 21 games the next year.

yea, i do not blame Lebron ONE DAMN BIT. his coaches and teammates in cleve fukking stunk!!!

(charles barkley went to phoenix then houston looking for a ring, and never got one. malone and payton went to the lakers looking for one and did not get one. it's okay for those guys but not for Lebron. i get it, different rules for different people).

    fukking haters

I understand where OP is coming from, but just read what you wrote. LeBron left Cleveland to go win championships. What is wrong with winning championships and taking less money? Don't we criticize enough players for taking too much money to play with bad teams? I hate to tell you this, but LeBron doesn't give a shit about the Milwuakee's and Charlotte's of the NBA. What he does care about....is winning. He knows the money will come regardless even if he takes less money (endorsements).

This is just how the NBA is. If you don't like it, then don't watch.

"Phony rings" then who's rings are legit for the most part in recent years? Lakers didn't draft Kobe and had to bring in Phil and Shaq to get thing going, Celts with their "Big 3" to name the obvious ones. There is an argument to be made free agency has had a negative effect in sports past 20 years. However its not going away so if you don't like it stop watching. Sports is more of a business now than ever and like I mentioned prior NYK is a team in a market and now with Phil in front office to take max advantage of the current landscape. You won't be bitching in next year or two when the Knicks sign 2/3 max guys just like you weren't when they got Melo.

And b.t.w. fukk Melo anyhow he's a gutless , one dimensional player who will NEVER win a ring if he's the #1 man aanyhow. And didn't he pretty much cause a 3 ring media circus his last year in Denver about wanting out. Then dictated where he was gonna end up!
