He didn't get fired because he wasn't a good coach, fired b/c of issues with management

I don't think Jackson is a good coach but the Andre Iguodala trade was the biggest factor in them underachieving this season.

If Atlanta loses to Washington then Vogel would be most likely gone and Atlanta will hire Jackson.

TNT crew ripped GS management for even thinking of firing Mark.. I honestly don't understand it... Every team owner these days wants to win now, but only one team will win it all.. How many teams are there? What ever happen to time to growth and playing together? GS only got better every year under Mark..

This year they ran into the Clippers what do you expect?

Jackson doesn't have the talent to be an elite coach. And why did SBR delete my thread about Mark Jackson? I wrote about this loser 2 years ago... guy should stick to preaching.

Bad move. Something happened internally. Mark Jackson fired an assistant i believe, for wearing a wire to the team meetings, coaches meetings in the locker room etc. Right there you know most likely ownership asked him to do it, he was a spy for them.

Thank god he got fired. Won't have to hear another one of his corny speeches to his team. He is a shitty coach. Everyone gives him credit for the Warriors huge turnaround, but anyone who has that talent could lead that team to 50 wins.

Probably the same reason George Karl go fired by Denver last year??? Coach of the year award, goes to playoffs, and only loses three home games all year. That was BRILLIANT !!! And now this year they don't even make the post season. Go figure. May be the owners should fire the GM's.

He's still a good player but his defense has slipped, its not 2010 anymore. Klay Thompson is a better perimeter defender than Iggy at this point.

The problem was what they gave up to get him, two huge expiring contracts and 2 1st rounders and 2 2nd rounders as well as a 4-year $48M deal. The trade also ruined Harrison Barnes development as well. They chose to go all-in with Iggy and let Landry and Jack walk and it backfired.

I like Karl but seriously, guy and his teams were always an automatic out in the first round. That is unacceptable. He lost in the first round 8 of 9 years he was in Denver, tell me how that is a good record? He had Denver go on an epic run the second half of the year and while they ran into a really good Warriors team there was no excuse in losing to them being the higher seed with homecourt.

    On to Jackson...

I read this article a month ago and was a bit surprised they were even considering it then.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10...etermined-wins

Management was obviously expecting much more or there were issues unrelated to his performance that led to this separation.

Golden State has no front court depth, no scoring off the bench. Andrew Bogut is always injured, Jermaine O'Neal is washed up, Hilton Armstrong is a stiff, and Maurice Speights is a reject from the Sixers. They have no scoring off the bench either, Harrison Barnes is not a scorer, he avg 9pts in 28 mins, that's not that great, and after him they have no legit options, Draymond Green? Jordan Crawford? These guys were playing way over their heads in the playoffs vs the Clippers they had higher avg's in the playoffs than in the regular season. Mark Jackson coached according to the players he had. I doubt another coach could have gotten more out of that team. I actually think the team over achieved this season. Elite teams in the West got better, Golden State's roster was pretty much the same coming into this season.

I knew he battled with management, kicked the legend of all legends Jerry west out of practice. I knew he was chasing clipper job last year (didn't know he was also chasing nets job ) and it is reported he had other issues with his own staff...

When asked about Wojnarowski’s report — which also asserted that Jackson’s lack of job security had led him to chase openings with the Clippers and Nets — Jackson predictably responded that “none of it was true.” Believe what you will,

I Didnt know minister Jackson was cheating on his wife with a stripper when he was GS coach as well.

    http://www.hoopsvibe.com/nba-wives-a...-gets-extorted

Truth is when you cheat in your wife as head coach and get caught, throw legends out of team practices, look for other jobs, and have drama in your own locker room you better get out of the first round of the playoffs.
