    Problem with the "circumstances" theory is that if players know the league is not likely to take action against them due to circumstances such as a game 7 on the line, players will begin pushing the envelope. It becomes a slippery slope where zbo punches Adams without consequence but what happens when John Wall clobbers LBJ? The league would have to over look it to be consistent.

    If the NBA really wanted OKC to advance they wouldn't have let OKC lose in three overtime games and Crawford wouldn't have iced Durant on that free throw.
