Kevin Durant coined "Mr. Unreliable" by his own Newspaper.

    What do you guys think?

This is the biggest game in KD's career tonight. Same with Westbrook. Same with Brooks.

KD responded by saying "I should be, I didn't get it done for my team."

Mabye it will get him fired up, but until I see it, I think KD is just a big time NBA freakish scorer...that's all

Personally I think Thunder win tonight, and close it out in 7.

But if they lose tonight, I think the Thunder will be a whole different team with a different coach, and a different point guard next year.

biggest game in his career? Guy played 5 games in the NBA finals. I would think all 5 of those games were bigger than a 1st round game.

    I understand that.

I still stick by statement. This is the biggest game of his career.

He is probably going to win his first NBA MVP, and he is going to get bounced by a (very good) 7 seed?

Don't know about his whole contract situation but I think he wants out.

I won't be surprised if he ends up in Houston.

    My favorite comment was:

Now, if Durant truly is "Mr. Unreliable," does that make Russell Westbrook "Mr. Habitually Inefficient?"

    He did.

But how would Kobe, MJ, or LeBron handle it?

    Probably as an asshole...

Last time Heat were in this situation I was at the Boston Garden watching LeBron have one of the best single-game performances I have ever seen in game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals 2 years ago....

Nowitzki lost as a 1 seed after winning MVP. The west is simply stacked every team that makes the playoffs can make a run and Memphis is the perfect example of that, I wouldn't put too much on it if OKC lost in the first round, they just need a coaching change thats all.

Haven't read the articles or anything like that.....but a lot of pressure on Durant and Westbrook tonight. The problem for Durant is that he will continue to have Tony Allen in his hip pocket.

durant gonna score 40 on those D-league affiliates. memphis is nothing, they dont have a superstar, they are bunch of role players, like mike miller who cruised to championships with the Heat, but is literally useless in a team like memphis.

they dont need a superstar. they have a great supporting cast. Thunder only have two guys and one of them wont give the ball up to the mvp. And I hate Memphis.

Kobe and MJ would score 40 points tonight and win the game. Lebron would get a triple double.

mike miller righted the ship in game 5 hitting 2 3's in OT.
Or else we'd be talking about who the Thunder are playing next round

it is a pretty big game for him. this team should not lose in the 1st round to anyone.....as for the game ppl "just cant see durant losing in the first round" ....just remember megastar athletes fail 95% of the time. he will be at a 5-star hotel on some beach drinking cocktails in 24 hours after they lose tonight. so dont think he will play like his life is on the line

    Was the writer a female?

I haven't seem the article but if it's her, her articles always sucks.

Durant hasn't been good this series but overall for the Thunder he has been great.

He led this team to the Finals and will probably win MVP.

Does he have problems with physical play? Sure. He isn't perfect but he isn't "Mr. Unreliable".

That's just a dumb title to grab attention.

Headline over Kevin Durant story missed the mark
by Mike Sherman Published: May 1, 2014

We take great pride in our headlines about big sporting events and news in Oklahoma. Thursday’s headline in The Oklahoman on Kevin Durant’s performance in the Memphis series missed the mark.

The words were overstated and unduly harsh. The headline and presentation left the impression that we were commenting on Durant’s season, career or even character. We were not. We were referring only to the Memphis series.

The fact the headline and presentation left that impression with so many readers is proof that we failed.

The last thing that city wants is Durant saying he wants to be traded after this year, paper cleaned it up real fast just in case he does want to leave and their blamed for some of it.

I think KD is not like that.

He is going to win an MVP award next week

And he will not care if they lose tonight.
