Will Mike D'Antoni Be Fired Before The End Of The Season?

Are you there God, It's me Gaucho...

Seriously though, you can't be down by nearly 50 and expect to keep your job, right?

You can't blame him for that shit pile of a team they are putting out there.
    Nothing he can do.
Firing coaches in LA every 10 games isn't the answer.
Putting Kobe, Nash, and Gas-hole into the pasture and rebuilding is.

Dantoni is a huge fuggin joke. Had the MVP Nash and a loaded Suns team in prime, failed to make finals. Obviously failed in New York, and lets not even start with Dwight and these Lakers teams. He should attend some Thibodeu practices or seminars. I bet Dantoni can't even spell defense.

How does he keep getting good NBA jobs is the question? Soon as the Lakers fire him, the bucks, pistons, and Sixers will be throwing themselves at him to coach their teams. Amazing.

There's no such thing as rebuilding in the NBA. If you don't find a superstar, your franchise is done. And those stars only come out like once every 5 years. You don't rebuild by picking a bunch of just solid players. That's not how the nba works.

Bryant is a top 5 player in the world. Why would you want to get rid of him? You won't find anyone else out of these pathetic ncaa athletes that can do what he does. only 0.92% of d1 ncaa bball athletes make it to the nba. Less than half of those last more than 5 years in the nba. ncaa is a joke. there's no such thing as rebuilding in the nba, so you better find a gem in the draft. They are there, but you have to really look. This draft has a few good players actually. Not sure if you can build a team around those guys though. Actually you definitely can't build a team around those guys.

You need to play the FA market now. Lakers are not gonna rebuild. Bryant has missed the playoffs like once in 20 years. Lakers as a dynasty have missed it like 6 times in 60 years. You think they're gonna just go into losing mode for 5 years? No chance.

Bryant took Smush parker kwame brown luke walter and chris mihm to the playoffs, dropping 60+ NUMEROUS times that year. Give Bryant time to get healthy, and give him a decent team, Lakers will be in the playoffs guaranteed.

The funny thing is in the press conference they asked Dantoni what happened. And he goes "We couldn't put the ball in the hoop. We just couldn't finish plays."

You fukkin gave up 140. You're talking about offense? What an idiot Dantoni is. For years he had a stacked PHX team that should have won at least 1 ring. If it weren't for Bryant crushing them. Those PHX teams were completely stacked. Nash and Amare both in their primes. Nash was MVP level. Amare was the best PF in the world for a 2 year period. He destroyed the Lakers in the playoffs, even when they double teamed him. J Rich, Grant Hill playing at high levels. Dragic and Barbosa and others on the bench. Dantoni is a fool.

Actually, I don't think D'Antoni has done a bad job THIS year (never been a fan of his in the past) because this Laker team looks like it should have 10 wins so far, so they have actually overachieved.

If the team is this bad next year Jeannie might stage a coup. The thing with the Lakers is that the Buss family does not own all of the team. There are minority owners who could push for a leadership change. We'll see...

Last night was the worst performance by a Lakers team that I've ever seen. I actually felt bad for Lakers fans last night. Ok, that's a lie. The worst part is that I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Phil isn't coming back to coach that team as long as Jim is in charge. Melo isn't going to want any part of that hot mess. LeBron certainly isn't going there. I don't even think they could convince Kevin Love to go there. So they're going to have to draft their way out of this mess. They better hope that they get a top 3 pick and then hit a home run with that pick. But since Jim is in charge, I have a feeling that they'll strike out.

You need to play defense to have any chance at a title. Spurs, lakers, heat all solid defensive teams. No Mike Dantoni team stresses or preaches D, so of course they will never have a shot.

Spend another 10 million on a new coach and also give more money to koby, thats the soution

OKC and miami will be the best teams for the next 5 years plus, do u see anyone coming out of college thats equal or better talent then lebron or durant?. earth Humans get old fast, funny how they talk about 30 year old players now a days. just because the lakers have the money , they cant create a perfect human being , and we all seen what the nets did does not work

Even if they pay melo and some aging stars to join the lakers, they wont be better then durant or lebron

Reports indicate...he will be back...and why wouldn't he? Buss is clearly tanking this year for a pick...and may very well do the same next year...then go for broke in 2015 if Durant opts out...and Love decides to leave Minny....Only problem with that logic is that the Suns have their 2015 pick..LOL..thanks to the horrendous acquisition of Nash....but all signs indicate D'Antoni will serve out his contract....Melo is the only reason they have to get rid of him...and Buss likely will not go after Melo...

They fired Brown after 3 games into 2012-13 season...because Kobe wanted him out....and yet Mr Pringles still has a job after being blown out on his homecourt for the 2nd time in 3 weeks...despite the fans calling bloody murder....so I doubt Pringles goes anywhere...."The Gimp" has not said one bad thing about Pringles to the media cuz that is his boy...only way Pringles gets fired is if Kobe calls for his head...

A pick? You're not gonna get anyone in the draft that's gonna take you to the next level. A healthy Bryant never misses the postseason. You can bet money on it. Look at his past teams he's made it with. Enough said. Lakers will not allow another season like this to happen (if their stars are healthy). That's not the Lakers culture, and the culture is not gonna change anytime soon.

Spurs beat them. So did LA. Weren't the Sun's tied 2-2 with LA in 2010 when LA went on to beat Boston in the finals? That was probably the best overall Suns team. They were very close to beating LA in that series. They had some other good teams but Amare didn't really cement himself as the best PF in the world until late in 2008 and carried through to the 2009-2010 year where he was virtually unstoppable. Dragic was also the best threat off the bench in the nba imo that year. That team was stacked.

Lakers were never trash. Bryant almost knocked off the 1/2 seed that year single handedly with the likes of Smush parker kwame mihm walton etc. Dropping 50 every other day like it was simple.

Dude a healthy Bryant and Gasol is good enough for LA to make the playoffs. You can bank on it. They need to get rid of the entire rest of the team. They need a defensive minded Center down low, someone that doesn't need the ball. And they need a defensive minded shut down SF that also doesn't need the ball. Give them those two pieces, get rid of everyone on that team except Farmar and Xavier Henry maybe, and they'll be fine. They won't win a title without a bigtime other superstar, but easily playoffs (if Bryant healthy).

spurs beat the suns 3 times, so yea, i was correct

are bryant and gasol good enuff to get to the playoffs at this stage in their careers?
prolly, but u have no idea what kobe is able to do anymore
kobes defense was awful before he blew out his achilles
in d'antonis offense, he may blow out another body part playing at that high pace

bryant is already the highest paid player in the nba
is gasol taking a paycut so they can bring in another star?
what star is really going to sign to play with that aging team, that owner, and that coach?
other than kobe, has any star taken a paycut to stay with the lakers?
has any top tier free agent signed with LA and taken a paycut?

there is zero chance kobe wins another title with him making all that cash
who is going to sign long term this off season without even knowing kobes health?
they said they waiting unil 2015, but even then kobe will have 1 year left
whos gonna sign, not knowing kobes future??
