I like Bobcats to cover the 1Q +3.0 point spread.
I was bored last night so I did some research. Get a load of what I found...the point spread for the 1Q of tonight's meeting between Charlotte and OKC is 3.0 (OKC being the favorite). I'm not sure if you've looked at the 1Q record of Charlotte this past month but it's quite impressive, especially when you compare it to OKC's 1Q record for the month of February. In Charlotte's last 10 games (since the beginning of February), they've only been outpointed by greater than 3 points on ONE occasion! That's right, the other 9 out of 10 games the Bobcats covered a point spread of +3.0 in the 1Q (many times they straight up squashed their opponent on the scoreboard by the end of the 1st). Sure, there's a lot of hype surrounding OKC but get this...in the Thunders last 11 games (since the beginning of February), they've only covered a point spread of -3.0 in the 1Q in 3 out of 11 games!!! That means OKC covered a point spread of -3.0 in the 1Q a mere 27% throughout the entire month of February lol. On the other hand, Charlotte covered a point spread of +3.0 in the 1Q in 90% of it's games last month! To put it bluntly, Charlotte is a COVERING MACHINE in the 1st!!!
In the end, this may be meaningless hogwash, but I felt it might be helpful to some of you. Tail if you wish, but please don't give me an earful if Charlotte shits the bed in the 1st. Regardless, good luck today!
