    Heat vs. Thunder 1/29

Will be a good game to watch

Both of these teams will be there at the end this year, at least conference finals is a good guess.

OKC has two things tonight they'll be working on
1.) They continue to get better without Westbrook. With Westbrook they're a much better team, but they know he's one slice, cut or knee bump away from being out all year. So I know for a fact, this is a big game for them. This will be a "game within the game" type of game. Brooks will use tonight to test different lineups, see what works but they want to win. They need to know they can hang with Miami without Westbrook. i expect Jackson to have a good game tonight.

2.) Matchups. Brooks has some length this time he didn't have last time. I expect them to keep Durant off of LBJ to keep him out of foul trouble and we will likely see Roberson and PJ3 on Lebron and try to give him distance, make him shoot jumpers and then contest. They'll put Adams and Perk on Bosh and then likely on the offensive end, Battier and LBJ will switch on KD. I expect Perk to not play as much tonight. The local media has been hounding Brooks at every press conference about why Perk is amnestied or why Perk plays so much against Miami. Hopefully Adams gets 6-8 more minutes tonight in place of Perk. Perk does not matchup well against Miami and the whole team suffers for it.

I'm pretty excited about tonight because I think tonight will go a long ways towards telling us whether this OKC team can matchup against this Heat team. These aren't anywhere near the same teams that met up in the finals. The superstars are the same but now OKC has PJ3, Adams, Roberson, Jackson is getting a lot of playing time,etc.... And Miami is missing Mike Miller, which is big for them, he spread the floor and killed OKC from 3. Dwade has declined. Bosh I think has gotten better and of course LBJ seems to get better every year as does KD.

Good Luck tonight no matter what you bet

But more than anything, enjoy a good game

If Brooks fails to make adjustments tonight, I expect he will not make them in the post season either if the play Miami. Kind of late at that point to being making changes on the fly. I will pound Miami futures tonight if Perks minutes aren't cut significantly.

    NBA NBA Championship
    Wed 1/29 7:05PM
    Miami Heat +230
    Indiana Pacers +310
    Oklahoma City Thunder +540
    San Antonio Spurs +670
    Los Angeles Clippers +1450
    Portland Trail Blazers +1600
    Houston Rockets +1750
    Golden State Warriors +1800
    Boston Celtics +4500
    Dallas Mavericks +6500
    Toronto Raptors +8000

I think a small play on OKC +540 is solid right now. They've already shown that with or without Westbrook, they can get through the West. Will they? Who knows but for a team I think will be representing the West in the Finals, +540 would be a nice series price to be holding against either Miami or Indiana

And at the Celtics not being +50000

Yup, OKC matches up much better against Indiana than Miami and Indiana matches up better against Miami.

    It could be!

Absolutely, What would the series price be Miami vs Indiana

If Miami has HCA, Miami would probably be a +160?
If Indiana has HCA, Miami would be +130?

Where is LT, he's good at figuring this shit out

so far so good! Okc with a slow start but back in it

Perk has played 4 minutes and change and is STILL a -13 in the +/- column

PJ3 gettings more minutes but more than anything they've gone smaller

Surprised Adams hasn't played yet, would like to see what he can do

Makes a HUGE difference for OKC to have PJ3 in there in place of Perk. If nothing else, they have to actually guard him.

Summary of the game so far for OKC

    +
Ibaka is getting his midrange shot at will and making.
    Getting wide open 3's
    Good D
PJ3 is actually playing LBJ well

    -
    Minimal penetration on offense
    Don't matchup well with Bosh
    Jackson not playing well

Obviously a jump shooting team that needs to get out in transition on the fast break. If they do this, they can win it all. If they can't consistently do both of those, I don't think their half-court offense is good enough to beat Miami or maybe even Inidiana. Lots of standing around and 1 on 1 ball.
