On the Kings, we already have 2 good scorers in DMC and Thomas, and all Rudy has to be is a supplemental scorer. DMC draws a lot of attention and is a capable and willing passer, although in the past he hasn't really had anyone reliable to kick the ball out to (especially at the 3). Rudy has been able to become more of a spot up shooter since joining the Kings, and I think he's really excelling at that role.
He is also a high character player who seems to help their on-court chemistry, which is something the Kings have been desperately missing recently. He's having his statistically best season so far because he's able to play more to his strengths and is not being forced to be the go-to guy on a nightly basis, and I think he will continue to improve as he gets more comfortable playing with Thomas and DMC.
