very high on them this season, best perimeter/post d players in the league in george/hibbert as well as some solid starters in west stephenson and finally a scoring punch off the bench in scola. my early pick to come out of the east this season

Paul George is a Pippen/TMac hybrid. Very good team defense. Best team in the League as of the moment.

of course he is. somebody a year ago said "he would become a superstar" and VOILA!!! now everybody's talking about him as being SOMETHING SPECIAL! George this, George that. Pacers are good as a team. It is unreasonable to point out "George" specifically. He's at 25ppg, but wont be for long, because Pacers dont need superstars. He is good, dont get me wrong

Yeah that's a good comparison. A lot of praise though right now. Paul George as of now is no where near the player that Mcgrady was in his prime. Pippen defensively brought it every night. I think he will continue to get better though and could get to that level.

Pacers are tough. They don't even got granger yet. Very good team. But they have weak PG play and I don't think they'll ever get past Wade and James.

Good enough to win Title...and I estimate, they will win at least 19-23 games in a row then loose to the Clippers or Spurs some time next month..

They should have beaten miami last year. They will be even better when granger returns. Miami always struggle against good rebounding teams and defensive teams. I think they have a huge chance to win this year. Tomorrow will be a good test

No they shouldn't have. Miami was clutch in gm 6 and 7. That's what happens when you have Wade and Bron. That series hinges on Dwayne Wade's health. He's gone into the playoffs last 2 years at probably 70% and still put up 20 5 and 5. If he's 100% or close to it, forget about it. Miami won't lose.

goat miami lost to a team that had no experience. pacers have a history of running into teams like miami that are destined. remember when that great pacers team had to wait for jordan to leave before the lakers slapped them around after they werent the same anymore.

as for this pacers current squad, based on what i saw in futures odds before the season books were a little hesitant.

this is the year they take down the Heat. They knew if they had home court last year they would have won that series and this year their making sure they get home court in game 7.

Everyone is saying how the Pacers got better and that true but the hEat were smart this offseason and got two bruisers. This may sound like a joke but watch BEASLEY and ODEN slow down West and Hibbert in the playoffs. The ONLY reason the Pacers were in it was because they were making Hibbert look like the second coming of Bill Russel. They literally had no one capable of guarding him as Bosh is not a center in any sense of the word.. Its not happening this year. As long as Oden is Breathing, standing on two legs and stiill 7 feet tall come May.. heat will win in 5.

Miami can win a game 7 on the road. Bro books didn't like indy before the season. At some point they will get a bad break- injury wise. Miami gets all the bounces. Same like jordan and the bulls used too.

Maybe. I don't make my predictions based on one sample from the 90s though. Look at the teams bro. Size and young players win in professional sports. Indy has both.

Talent wins in the nba more than anything. Young teams rarely ever win.

Bulls -4 all day tomorrow. Rose Rested. They'll smash after Pacers smashed em last week! Rose well rested us key. Thibs all over it defensively, well be back. Show the Pacers who the real team is the central! Da Bulls!

Game 1? Pacers lost because they took hibbert off and allowed lebron to drive for an easy layup.

Pacers will just be this year's regular season hero team. Nba isn't letting them get to the finals. Why don't you guys know this by now.

Talent wins that is exactly right. Old teams do not. Experience matters.

Remember how you always used to tell us about how good the Knicks are. Yea great call. I was the only one on this site who saw the Indiana train coming. They are big and athletic. You can't teach size.

I said that last year that knicks were one of the top 3 teams in the east. I was right. So yeah it was a good call. I never said anything about the Knicks this year. Every year is different in the nba. You have been right on Indy good call.

SBR posters are prisoners of the moments. The reg season doesn't mean shit. Brooklyn if fully healthy will beat any team out of the east except miami and them against pacers would be a coin flip. Remember this conversation.

Indy needs to replace David West. They will lose that matchup every night.
