Dave Cokin: Nets -5 at Celtics

    Nets -5 at Celtics

Despite not playing great basketball of late, New Jersey is the play tonight when the Nets visit the lowly Boston Celtics.

The Nets have not been good lately, but they did at least manage to stop the bleeding last time out with a narrow win at Atlanta.

Of course, no one is in worse form than the Celtics who are on a historic losing streak. What's even more troubling is the fact the Celtics aren't even coming close to winning. The closest defeat in this epic skid is four points, and they've been mostly getting trampled night after night.

Until Boston shows even remote signs of life, they have to faded when the number is reasonable, and such is the case tonight. The Nets are my Friday play.

    Play: Nets -5

Its hard to play the Celtics right now, but I think I would back them here. Even though the Celtics are like 4-20 at home.
