Very good pickup, and a great landing spot for Ron.

If they can keep him from chucking uneccessary 3's, as the NYK have an abundance of that type of skill set, I see no drawback for either party.

Metta is so washed up it isn't even funny. Typical Knicks signing.

Disagreed. He just doesn't offer much anymore. He hasn't been a lockdown defender for a few years now. He is slow laterally. Average shooter. He just doesn't add anything to the Knicks other than the hysteria of "Metta World Peace." I understand why the Knicks made this move. But I'd much rather make a move for a younger guy who can help more for about the same price (Nick Young, etc.).

He is making 1.8 million in the first year. don't know if this was a better or worse option than getting Elton Brand and Aaron Brooks like the Knicks originally wanted to.

Wow, nice pick for the Knicks. That's what I heard too, he was going to China. Just saw the news story about it. Big boost to NY defense!

We dont need elton brand we already have his more expensive clone in amare. Theres no downside in Artest except a few minutes away from shumpert who I think can develop into a star

I despise the Knicks. I despise Carmelo.

With that being said, I think it's a great move. I'd like to see him get some minutes along side Carmelo and Tyson Chandler. I think it works.

Yeah, Meta's career is over. He's an offensive liability and can't guard the elite players anymore. It would be a tragedy if they picked this guy up to try and guard guys like Lebron or Paul George. It's not gonna happen. He's slow footed.

You're comparing Elton Brand to Amare Stoudemire? LOL what planet are you on. Stoudemire is coming off one of the best years of his career 2 years ago. He had major surgery and that's gonna take time no matter what. He will be a force next year.
