Nba Game 7 Final Question First correct answer earns 125 points

There was a time in this lifetime when I lived with temporary Guardians. A man ** Mr.O** and his wife lived in a small community near the foothills above a racetrack. Standing in the back yard you could hear the echo's of the race calls. And if the wind was in proper alignment you actually understand the words. Each half hour you could hear the cheers of a crowd for twenty or so seconds. Then it would fade into the sounds of silence only to repeat again. Mr.O was an engineer by trade.
In the den was map of the world hanging on the wall. Pins with flags cluttered this map as each marked a place Mr.O. had worked or visited. Next to the map were two diplomas he had earned from PURDUE university, including a masters. The 125 point involves his first four years at this school.

Who was Mr.O. dorm roommate at Purdue University?

Hint - He played guard on the mens basketball team.

    Fine print.
Posters may guess more than once. Post's must be spaced at least two minutes apart to be eligible for the 125 points. So if post one is at 8:45 the next guess would have to be at 8:47 or later.

YOUR ANSWER MUST BE IN THE FORM OF A QUESTION ! For example "Who is Walt Hazard?
    First correct answer wins.
If no one answers correctly within 15 minutes I will post another clue.
All decisions are final. Have fun, good luck and enjoy the final game of the 2013 NBA season.

One of Coach Wooden's proudest moments, he later recalled, came when he overheard one of his players, an African-American, reply to a reporter's question about racial tensions on the team: "You don't know our coach. He doesn't see color. He just sees ballplayers."

got it right so am reading up more about him .
