    Is Car-Go your NL MVP?

In my opinion it was a toss up between him and Tulo before Tulo went down with the broken rib.

Car-Go, pays gold glove caliber outfield, has 19 ding dongs, tied for the best in the league, 54 RBI, 55 runs scored, is almost perfect on the bases, stealing 13 out of 14, .313 BA .388 OBA, .641 slugging, Mr. Calculator says that's an OPS of 1.029.

Every one of those numbers, from defense, to power, to speed, to freaking everything is Hall of Fame scary.

At this pace, Car-Go wins a silver slugger, probably a gold glove and has these numbers at the end of the year.

.313-45-127 RBI, 129 Runs scored, 31 stolen bases........................

He goes on streaks where he goes 2 for 30 but otherwise he is a special player. Everyone always complained about his home/road splits but this year he is hitting better away from Coors. If the Rockies make the playoffs, Im thinking he can get it.

Coors Field inflates any player's offensive stats. Rockies will be 3rd in the division.

You can make a case for Goldy, his numbers are almost as good as Car-Go

Exactly what the uneducated would say. Cargo better away this year. Goldshit is going to fall off fast, back to .280.

It's not even half way through the season. Lots of things will happen, one of which will be car go stats declining. He's a great player but he won't keep this up. He's to streaky and also like someone said he plays in coors which is a launching pad.

Are you talking Carlos Gomez? If yet to hear anybody refer to him as Car-Go and I live in Wisconsin.

So because he's better on the road, his advantage for half his games is automatically disregarded?

Not saying that, just saying you have to handicap the fact that he hits in the most hitter friendly park in the NL and his power #'s will be inflated. Throw in that I have the Rockies finishing 3rd in the west, Unless he continues this clip and puts up mind blowing #'s, he's not getting the MVP. Voters want players that lead their team to the post season.

You know Munson hit almost .30 points higher lifetime than Bench had more power yes, but Munson hit for average better.
If Munson doesn't die in that air crash, he winds up with just the same amount of gold gloves.
They were both rookie of the years and MVP award winners.
Big difference is, for most of his life Munson played with horseshit teams, Bench was always surrounded by all-stars.
Speaking of which, Munson was a 7 (in 10 years) all star.

Umm, yeah, they belong in the same conversation.

No. Carlos Gonzalez from Colorado Rockies. It's pretty widely know that he's car go

That's why they gave it to Rollins and not Holliday in 2007, such a bias to the stadium when there are just as many batter friendly ballparks around the league, including Yankee Stadium. You don't see anyone down playing Yankee accomplishments for their little league stadium.
