    GSW Can Win Series If They Can Take One In S.A

    Yes. I know. 27 games lost straight in a row in S.A, but all that goes out the window when the playoffs come. The warriors have only made it to the post season twice in the past 17 years, but they have shown the ability to over achieve in the playoffs when they do make it (upsetting the mavs in 06 and now denver in 13). Bogut it also playing at an elite level and the warriors haven't had an all-star caliber center when playing the spurs on the road which is one of the reasons why they have lost 27 games in a row. There inability to contain duncan has been an issue but I think that will change. Especially if David Lee can get some PT. There are a ton of interesting matchups and this is a battle of youth vs. experience. If GSW can continue to shoot lights out and bring that intensity inside from Bogut I think it's actually a closer matchup than people think. If GSW can win one game in S.A, I think they can win the rest of the games at Oracle and pull of a huge upset.

    I really like Golden State tonight with the points. But Spurs are rested and gonna be really tough to beat at home.

    How does what Golden State did in 2006 matter in this series?

    Using that horrible logic, I could say that their is no chance Golden State wins this series based on the fact that the Spurs have more than twice as many championships as the Warriors have playoffs appearances in the past 17 years.

    So what Golden State was got out of the first round twice in 17 years. What did they do after that?

    The Spurs go deep and win championships.

    Well considering they only get 3 at home then yes they must win 1 on the road to take the series obviously. Just don't see it happening should be a series that has it's moments but Spurs in 6 I think.

    like i said. bogut is the x factor. points in the paint 3-1 in favor of the warriors. draymond playing great D. spurs are lucky this isn't a 12 point game with curry being off. btw foul calls are probably 100-1 in favor of the spurs.

    You missed my point. I agree with you that Oracle is a tough place to play and I could definitely see the Warriors winning two games in this series.

    You brought up 2006. That is irrelevant to this year.

    There is a big difference in being competitive and winning a few games and actually winning the series. We will see. The Warriors are playing great ball right now.

    Ok. You're right the 2006 statistic is irrelevant. However, the underlying point I was trying to make is that I think the warriors can keep it competitive if they win one in s.a because oracle is such a difficult place to play.

    At no point did I think this game was over. Spurs are too good at shooting, stealing, getting to the ft line, basically they are perfect at everything.

    Golden State has the talent but they are really young and haven't been in these spots much. The experienced team with the better coach made plays when it mattered most. Even if you look at who was making plays for the Warriors down the stretch, it was the veteran Jack.

    The Warriors were shooting 57% and the Spurs were shooting 37% midway through the 4th quarter. The Warriors had a 16 point lead with around 4 minutes left, Curry scores over 40, and they still lose.

    When the Warriors were up 18 in the 3rd I had 2 thoughts in my mind. 1 was how would Jaret Jack f' this up, the other was "its Ginobili, its Parker, its Duncan. The Spurs will attempt 14-16 fts in the 4th quarter easy."

    Only real way to beat the Spurs is to out-superstar them. In any other respect, whatever your team is good at, they are better. The final score of this game should be Golden State 127, San Antonio "just a little bit more than Golden State."
