Miami heat @ -120 to win it all, bet of the century or trap of the century?

I personally am thinking of putting all I have on Miami to win the NBA championship

    Does anyone else agree?

just cant see anyone beating them 4 times in a series.

Agreed. As long as they stay healthy it looks like a repeat.

Honestly I think its a lock. The only team I could see beating them is possibly okc but even then when heat get to the finals you can hedge as they will probably be -200-250 favourites. Unless an injury occurs how else could they lose?

its a very shitty number. earlier in the season you could have gotten them to win the east at a similar number. its not worth the risk imo.

Well no doubt the 'good price' is long gone on this future....but I still think this is a solid bet. I get the feeling that a few weeks from now when we see the Heat lift the trophy, we're all gonna think 'oh it was only -120/-125, why did I not take this free money'.

And I believe it actually IS worth the risk because the only risk I see here is injuries...barring that, I see nearly no risk as I don't think any team can beat a healthy Heat squad.

The Heat team is head and shoulders above the rest, they have matured as a team from last year and Lebron is on fire.

Okl CAN NOT beat the Heat over a 7 game series!

decided to go big on this

    best of luck!

I wouldn't bet on them. In the last 10 years the teams which had a good run didn't win the championship:
    2011-2012 Spurs had a 20 games run - they didn't win
    2008-2009 Boston had a 19 games run - they didn't win
    2007-2008 Houston had a 22 games run - they didn't win.

So from a statistical point of view Heat have a good chance to lose.
And second thought , they are way too overrated.

They will try, so to shut the fckn critics up that last year's championship was not a fluke. They need at least a repeat. BUT this year will be Durant's year. Bank on it.

Horrendous odds. I got all my Miami futures in at +145 a few weeks back. They have to win 4 different series to win the championship, I am sure you can make more money betting on them in individuals games/series than you will betting this line at -120.

Most statistics-based sites have the Heat at about 25-33% to win the championship.....so if you give math geeks any credit, then it's an absolutely terrible bet.

West is solid. It's one thing to lay a little chalk with the Heat to win the East, but to do that and beat OKC/Spurs/or Nuggets?
