    Lakers have to go 4-1 to make the play offs

    If Utah goes just 2-2 their last 4 games Lakers have to go 4-1. If Utah goes 3-1 Lakers need to go 5-0. I suspect OKC will rest guys just to screw with LA, as well as simply resting guys. But OKC has played like shit recently so they might not have to rest guys for Utah to beat then in SLC.

    Lakers will probably beat New Orleans at home, and they MIGHT beat Portland on the road if they take 30 free throws which isnt that far fetched. Spurs might rest guys also but I have an idea if Pop has a chance to eliminate the Lakers he wont rest anyone.

    But for all intents and purposes Clippers eliminated the Lakers from the play offs yesterday.

    Place was the loudest I have heard it since I have been going to games there.

    Most telling thing is the severe lack of Laker fans, generally in and around the section I sit in its almost 50/50 Laker and Clipper fans (when its a Clipper 'home' game) Lakers home game its 90-10, but yesterday it was maybe 70-30 Clipper fans and I think it was that way through out the whole joint.

    But Utah has a home game against OKC, which they have a good shot of winning regardless of if guys rest. Then back to back games with Minnesota which they should win both, even on the road where Utah isnt that great. So Utah might win out, although last game is AT Memphis and if Memphis isnt resting guys Utah wont win that game.

    I am sure the league will do what they can to make it interesting as well as push Lakers through into the 8 seed. I wouldnt be surprised if Lakers take 180 free throws the last 5 games. Opponent have less than 75 attempts I bet.

    I'd be completely devastated if the Lakers and their 3 future All Stars don't make the playoffs in a league where it's almost impossible to miss the playoffs

    one was the lakers werent really that talented
    the other was that the lakers are better off missing the playoffs
    cuz getting beat badly in the first round was worse than missing the playoffs completely

    yeah because they havent won 7 of their last 8, albeit against bad teams, but they have bad teams to finish the stretch, except for mem who might not play anyone the last game.

    You think these teams dont want ot stick it to the Lakers? Stern obviously wants lakers to get in so they will get EVERY call, just like they have all year. But I wouldnt be surprised to see every Utah team lay down for them to make sure they stay in 8th.

    Then take all your air money and bet that. Books have lines. I know 5 Dimes does. They have it as a flip whether the Lakers make it.

    Personally, I am hoping the Lakers miss the playoffs because of some bets I have.

    I'd actually like to see them get in, just to watch them get swept. Spurs/thunder will show no mercy on these fools, Lakers struggle vs bottom feeders, would love watching them try to compete vs a 1 seed in the fukkin post season. Not to mention their lines are always way out of whack, making them an easy fade. Lakers are a cash cow now that I really think about it....

    I hope Lakers get in, because then ESPN and the sports media will be all over their nuts and make them the trendy upset pick in the first round of the NBA playoffs, saying how now that they are in the playoffs it is their second chance, a new start, a clean slate, pressure is off, can finally play to their potential, and all that, to the point where they would become de-facto favorites. Meaning you would get the Spurs at a great, great price.

    The Lakers are one game back of Utah...how is this? Do they not own a tiebreaker or something? But I think Utah will go 1-3 and the Lakers 3-2. The Lakers last 3 games are in LA. No way they won't make it on Kobe shoulders lol. Kobe will go for 100 if he has to.

    the jazz play the timberwolves twice, a team they already beaten twice this year .............
    lakers would have to go 4-1 to get in the playoffs
    kobe going for "100" will more often than not = a lakers loss
