    Well that's one of the reasons...but the Lakers are an inferior team. Despite 30 attempts at the line compared to the Clippers 21 attempts, they still could not get it done...couple that with the fact that their moronic coach continues to go with a 7 man roster...chalk full of 30 + year olds who cannot keep up with that lob city fast break...and the result is inevitable...its a good thing they won't meet in the playoffs

    Oh give it a rest with the fukking free throw differential (not aimed at you just a general rant at all the whiners on this board). They have Dwight Howard on their team who always gets hammered whenever he has the ball underneath (and rightly so) so teams get in the penalty early against LA and Kobe can do his thing.

    But yeah, agree with the rest of what you said. OKC poses the same matchup problem.

    the jazz are 16.5 back from 1rst place and the lakers are 17 back from 1rst, but if the lakers and jazz end the season with the same record don't the jazz make the playoffs? That means the lakers have to have a better record than the jazz to end the season and make the playoffs.

    LOL....why are people blaming Howard? He had 25 pts on 14 touches....granted he had less rebounds than normal...but most nights he is in double digits...Laker fans are committed to trying to find a scapegoat for this season...when one sole person cannot be blamed...and in this case...it does not matter how stellar a performance either Laker delivers...they cannot compete with the likes of the Clippers....this was an honest loss....stop playing the blame game...and if you must play that game.....then don't just stop at Dwight Howards rebounding effort....how about we mention Kobe's..........6 for 19 from the field..once again shooting less than 50 percent..Dwight was 9 for 14 with 5 less touches than Kobe..for the same amount of points...who are you people trying to fool? lol cut the crap.....the better team won...

    Why do you incorrectly use ellipses in the place of periods? You also incorrectly assume that people who blame Howard are entirely comprised of Lakers fans. Howard is not a superstar player. He is a slightly better version of Ben Wallace. He can rebound and dunk the ball, and plays stellar on the defensive end when he feels like it, but his offensive prowess leaves a lot to be desired for a player that gets as much attention as he does. The only reason Howard is in the debate for best center in the league right now is because most of the other centers suck too.
