has any one team required so many rigged-games as the 2012-13 Lakers.. ever?

i mean in NBA history.. all of it..

i can see where a big earner was helped in a single critical game...
or maybe the league back in the 80's liked the Celtics vs. the Lakers
because it generated so much interest, and really played a large role
in popularizing the game (when interest was tepid at best)

of course there was the infamous Game 6, Lakers over Kings..
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjRcTiwVEwo
so that Phil could repeat again..

but what we have all seen here in the last 2-3 weeks is mind-boggling and absurd..
game-,after game, after game, after game.. both calls and non-calls, all in favour Los Angeles..

look for more tonight and the rest of the year, just to make it safe.. for the NBA.

A team has to be ahead double digits after the 1st Qtr and stay there to win, it seems..
    to beat them.

even sub .400 teams, playing on the road with players out, can't catch a break against
    the mighty Stern REF juggernaut..

i was wondering if anybody can remember anything remotely approaching this level
    of arrangement ?

this is akin to bad beat stories where poker players always remember their bad beats but quickly forget about the times they sucked out on somebody.

i think this rigging will be the story of the year, if they make the playoffs..it will further tarnish and already besmirched Stern reputation...

    POSSIBLE REVERSE -RIG?

i wonder if tonight's game vs. Memphis might be a 'hands-off" or "laissez-faire" event by Stern.
As so MANY people are now onto this rigging, (all over the internet)

that Stern may elect to let them lose to preserve the illusion of fairness,
AS IF it were possible for the refs NOT*to step in and protect the Lakers..

    exactly, Face

another serious problem to overcome is the rigging now involved not only in Laker-games..
    but directly to their competition..

look at what happened to Utah last game playing at home..
Denver was awarded almost twice as many Free Throws..

    32-to-18 (difference of 14 FTs)

    Utah lost by 17 pts.

the two teams that cannot catch breaks are *ingame Laker opponents,
and anybody locked in a tight race with the Lakers for the last spot.

not trying to be argumentative or contradict what i previously said, but i watched that utah game and nobody needed to rig anything. denver shot very high percentage and there were outplayed that game. to me rigging is when it's close, like some of the lakers/celtics finals playoff games where lakers got all the calls.

    NEW ORLEANS: *14 Free Throws

    UTAH: *5 Free Throws*

    Halftime

(hard to deny this) Utah should be up double-digits
    at Home vs. awful team.

I can recall any other team being on the receiving end of that many trips to the line. Tonight will be no different....Marc Gasol with two quick fouls....including a Technical for complaining and rightfully so about that 2nd bogus foul....Lakers could not beat Memphis on their best night...unless...you knock Memphis best player out and shoot at least 50 percent ....

The Hornets are so god damn awful, even with the refs help, they couldn't get it done...Remember, this is the same team that allowed LA to beat them twice from 20 down...

What would the NBA be hoping to accomplish getting the lakers into the playoffs? They are done in 4 vs OKC or spurs anyways, not like they would be boosting the ratings all playoffs.

I agree with above poster references bad beats in poker. Same deal here

That's why we like him, he'll have 4 more threads tomorrow about the same b.s on the Lakers. and the next day. And when the Lakers lose in the playoffs he'll say they tanked the series just to get a better draft pick.

I watched this game between Lakers vs Grizzlies, all I can say is the Refs kept bailing out Lakers, it's so damn obvious.

I think it's safe to say that NBA is the dirtiest sport at the moment.

Lakers get all the calls again/lack of calls for memphis. The also missed the no call at the end to send conley to the line.

going to the rim on last shot was stupid.

ONLY 7 FTs called ALL GAME..

do you really think that Stern is going to put you on the line with 1 second left to possibly win IN L.A.?!?!

Yeah, Lakers was the play tonight...and for any douches who is saying "Why not mention it earlier?" My earlier post on this thread tells the story. Stern will get these bums in the playoffs even if he has to rush onto the court as some point. That being said, I would STAY AWAY from the Lakers/Clippers game. But, if action is needed (of course it is, lol), I would take the Clippers.

prolly the dumbest statement in any thread
lakers vs spurs or lakers vs okc would be WAY better ratings than the jazz
theres a reason why the lakers can afford to spend 100 million in salary
PEOPLE WACTH THE LAKERS so of course they would have an effect on the ratings
