The current #5 and #1 seeds in the Western Conference meet tonight at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City when the Dallas Mavericks visit the Utah Jazz. In what could be a playoff preview, expect the two teams to grind it out and finish below the posted total in tonight's matchup.

Dallas is 0-9 under as road favorites of 4½ or less points, and 2-8 under off a straight-up win in their last game.

The Mavericks, with a 14-6 overall record that includes a 6-3 mark on the road, are coming off a 105-90 win over Denver in Dallas on Saturday night. Their last three contests have averaged less than 179 points per game for the final total.

Dirk Nowitzki is the leading scorer for the Maviercks at 24.6 points per game, also topping Dallas with 9.8 boards. Josh Howard (17.6 ppg) and Jason Terry (15.3) follow Nowtizki on the Mavericks' charts.

The Jazz are 15-5 on the season, and a sparkling 10-1 at home, the only loss an 88-75 defeat at the hands of Orlando on Nov 27. Carlos Boozer leads the team in scoring (22.0) and rebounding (12.3) while Deron Williams is dishing out a team-best 9.1 assists per game.

Utah is 4-12 under vs. winning teams. The Jazz are 8-20-1 under when playing with two days rest, and the last four meetings in Utah between these teams have all gone under.
