He wanted Nick Young and Kwame Brown in the off season so they signed them. He wanted to bring Spencer Hawes back so they re-signed him. He wasn't a fan of Iguodala so they traded for Bynum knowing he was injured. A risk worth taking but a risk that has now blown up in his face.
On top of the horrible personnel decisions the only thing he wants out of his players on offense is to take mid range jump shots. They have to be in the top 5 for long 2's taken in the league. Possession after possession it's an 18-20 foot jump shot.
What might be even more frustrating is his refusal to play rookies. Last season, in limited minutes Nikola Vucevic looked promising. He had one bad game and Doug buried him in his dog house for the playoffs and then packaged him in the Bynum trade. Now, he's doing the same thing this season with Arnett Moultrie. The team is done, they aren't making the playoffs, and he still refuses to give him more than 10 minutes a game.
At the end of the game tonight Doug walked off the court with around 10 seconds left.
