Tony Parker was a last-minute scratch for the Spurs on Monday due to "knee swelling," joinging Tim Duncan (knee), Manu Ginobili (hamstring) and Stephen Jackson (personal) on the sidelines.
It's conceivable that Parker's knee really is bothering him, but it's far more likely that Gregg Popovich is simply resting his All-Star point guard in the second of back-to-back games. The Spurs play again on Wednesday, then return on Feb. 19 to kick off a four-game week after the All-Star break.
