Don't feel sorry for him at all. Guy made more than over $200,000,000 in his career including endorsements? Guy is a moron to lose that.

New York Post, a source is reporting that Iverson has an account that contains $32 million. While he is prohibited from withdrawing from that account until he is 55, he is fed $1 million annually. That may pale in comparison to the $150 million he made over the course of his career, but he isn't a pauper by any means.

who knows what is really true

I almost never feel bad for these athletes that go broke. The NBA, MLB, and NFL have programs set up for these dudes so they don't go broke; so many options.

Who would have thought Bonilla was one of the "smart" athletes.

Why do you all assume he is homeless because you hear a story of ONE house going into foreclosure? Based on the article that house was for one of his lady friends.

You accuse him of frivolously spending in one comment and then think he only has one house in another.

A man that made anywhere close to 200M in a lifetime, guaranteed has another house somewhere. Let's be real here people.

Calling that man homeless is an egregious stretch

Lotta rainy days in Philly. And when it rains, NBA players know that their mink coats only last through one storm. So what's a brotha s'posed to do? Dat's right, buy anotha.

If they were smart they'd pay CASH for an apartment complex so if they ever go broke, they have that income and a place to stay at least.

I don't care what anybody says. AI is alright with me. I feel bad for him. Really bad. This shit, for some reason, always happens to our athletes here in Philly.

We had a boxer, a great one, named Jimmy Young. He fought Ali and got screwed out of a decision. I had a conversation with him once in a bar here in Philly. He told me "Every time he (meaning Ali) looked up at me I hit him. I must have thrown my jab 2000 times in that fight. I won that fight and they stole it from me."

Well, those words haunt me to this day. Jimmy Young died broke and homeless. He was living in a shack in the streets.

I think about him whenever I hear stories like Allen's.

There really is no reason for a man his age to be out of work for 3-5 years! NONE. especially with a wife and kids. he needed to grow the fuk up back in 2001. I loved him growing up, but he still acts like he is 21 at 38 years old.

No sympathy whatsoever for these guys. Its pathetic and embarrassing. With all the money AI made he could never at least pay off a house in full to have for the rest of his life. Pay off the mortgage you penetrating thug.

If you put all your money in T bills at 2% you never have to do another thing again. I hate these guys.
