Mike D'Antoni announced tonight that Gasol is coming off the bench. It's a permanent move.
No sooner does he make the decision, then Dwight Howard goes MIA.

Trade Dwight and get something for him. He still has value and teams like Atlanta and Dallas would be interested because they'd try to sign him long-term. Rather than let him walk (which I'm sure he will), trade him and get some pieces to try and make a playoff run.

5dimes had Howard u/17.5 at -170/-180. I figured he must be injured... I don't think I've seen a line like that all year on Dwight points. Nope. Found the same prop at -114 and took it blindly. Tony was sharp.
howard by far the best center in the league, they would be durs to trade him. if they don't start winning though they don't have to worry about that because he will be leaving this summer.

while the fans may hate it...they can probably get more for Howard, plus at this rate he isn't going to resign in LA anyway. Gasol has won championships with this team, Howard hasn't won anything with anyone. Take your losses in Howard trade (Bynum & Howard himself by next year) and move on.
Here's another item that maybe Laker fans could address; Why has Nash escaped so much of the flak? He's not exactly putting up Steve Nash type numbers from even a year ago AND he's playing for his old coach.
Brooklyn would take Howard tonight. They still want a "Face of the Franchise". Buss or Kupchak should be on the phone with the owner of that team...now.
