Theory not a system. Input welcome. 1st Q plays

For most part first quarter seems to be higher scoring than second, bc starters play most minutes vs scrubs for half of 2nd, and there is I believe value in 1q overs as well as situationally team overs. What you guys think?
For instance today I like over 1q on atl game as well as over 23pts for Brooklyn. No josh smith will give Brooklyn much easier time inside and atl will run more/execute better after posting 58 pts vs bulls. Also looking at Toronto over 22.5 1st qt, Orlando 23.5-more rested than Indiana. That's for early games. There is def more value in that than 1st half bets if playing overs. Thoughts???

Yep, 1Q are good for overs, especially on games that tend to go over anyway, hit Hou and Den yesterday, I've been betting them for some time now, teams usually play no defense in 1Q

Yea I been noticing that too. I never done it but statistically it makes a lot of sense. Typically bench provides more defensive intensity, and energy but less scoring and you roughly get exact same odds as 1 qt starters
