    Miami -3 1/2 vs Portland?

Smells like a trap. I mean Blazers have played decently and Lilliard's been great for his rookie year, but Aldridge isn't even 100%. Blazers have no bench. Can't see how I can't bet Miami although I did buy the 1/2 point. Thoughts?

Normally I would take the Blazers but I like Miami. Square as hell I know, but I still like them.

All I remember is the last time Miami came to Portland, everyone thought Miami was square, and I think the Heat jumped out to a 15 lead mid way through the 1st quarter. Game was never close.

Yeah. Plenty of people will take Portland at home.

Honestly, what do people expect Miami to be favored by here?

The line is right and will get plenty of action on both sides. I would be a lot more worried if Miami was -2.

Plays that appear square cash about half the time.

If it was as easy as taking the less obvious side we would all be rich but it's not.

TNT Dog Day Thursday's are always scary. Still have to go with Miami though. Besides, Miami's neck and neck with NY in the East. They want to stay on top imo. I think the line rises by tomorrow. Vegas trying to draw in the sharps maybe?

Think Miami covers easy, but will stay wide away from this one. I don't trust the Heat this season. I think it's more than the normal "they just don't care for the regular season". I don't think they will reach the finals this year.

You're basing this on their regular season play?

I hear that. In the last two weeks Miami has lost to Indiana, Chicago, Milwaukee and Detroit. I feel as though there should be a law stating, "The Heat will be inconsistent against mediocre teams." And it will be known as "LeBrons Law".

Can't trust Heat now. I might stay away from the game, but then, as they usually do when I fade them, they will cover.

+1 for under. Miami is 7-7 on road, Portland is 12-4 at home. Heat haven't even been playing that well recently, think Blazers is the best choice.

    Last 5 games:
    Heat @ Magic W 112-110 OT (Heat -9.5) Over 194.5 without OT
Mavericks @ Heat W 119-109 OT (Heat -10.5) Made the over w/ OT
    Bulls @ Heat L 96-89 (Heat -7.5) Under 189.5
    Wizards @ Heat W 99-71 (Heat - 13.5) Under 191.5
    Heat @ Pacers L 87-77 (Heat -2) Under 187

3-2 last 5 games, didn't make the cover 4 times of the 5. Made the under 3 times out of 5, 4 times if they didn't go into OT with Mavs.

    Last 5 away games:
    @ Bobcats W 105-92 (-9) under 200
    @ Pistons L 109-99 (-6) over 188.5
    @ Bucks L 104-85 (-4.5) under 199.5
    @ Magic W 112-110 OT (Heat -9.5) Over 194.5 without OT
    @ Pacers L 87-77 (Heat -2) Under 187

2-3 last 5 away games beating teams like Magic and Bobcats lol, did not cover 4 out of 5 times. 3 unders out of 5.

Last 5 games Portland has beaten Knicks, Grizzlies, Timberwolves and Magic. I take Portland +3.5 right now and the under.

The line is pretty sharp, it will be a close game. Safe bet is to take the juice on Miami ML I think they pull it off by a basket.

Would the safe bet not be to get the Blazers at an alternative line at the same price you would get the Heat ML for then? I would say you could get Blazers +7 / +7.5 for the same price you could get the Heat ML.

eh, it's always difficult to bet when miami is on the road..aldrige is expected t play..I would say portland +3,5..but on the other hand I think miami can't always lose on the road (otherwise it would be easy for us to make money ).....I'll think it out..

    @johon8: +3,5 is more than a basket..anyway good luck

Anyone have Miami ats stats for national games? Miami has been getting anhiliated on the boards. Hard to back a team that gets out rebounded by 20. Rebounding= effort and there has been a lack of both from Miami. I know they are small, but cmon box some guys out. Yet, I still like Miami in this spot, think they try harder with country watching

Smells like a bluff line to me. You've had two btb suspect lines with Heat -2.5 goes down with public on them. Hornets +2.5 goes down with the public on the rockets. Now heat/blazers -3.5 to 3 with the public heavy on Miami. It's just a bluff though this time. Sorta like, OKC-2 at Chicago where OKC won easily, then later they come with OKC-2 at Minnesota and Minnesota beats em. heat win easy

Don't get this out of context here.

Do I base it on the reg season? The team just isn't that hungry any more. Can't you see it? Well, I can. Just watch the game. There's a difference between not caring too much and not being able to do it much better.

    Normally it is, nothing new.
    We will see what happens.
Just gave my opinion on this team right now and have no problem admitting that I'm wrong if they make it to the finals.
Just don't see it this year.

Some of you guys are half retarded bitching about the Heat losing... the same group of ya'll complained last year when the Heat lost a couple games to shit teams.

It's the regular season, it was a road game, EVERY team wants to beat the Heat as its pretty much their own personal NBA finals, AND THE PROOF WAS IN THE LINE AND LINE MOVEMENT

You don't have to read into line movement and believe it always, but when 80 fukkin percent is on the Miami Heat, yet the line moves THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION and does not swing around before the game starts, what the fuk do you think is going on? you think the motherfukkers with money are blindly putting their fortunes worth more than the 80% of the public combined on the TrailBlazers for shits and giggles? it was obviously a dangerous game

i had the heat tonight and this is my 3rd loss when backing the heat this season

but what i noticed is that every single damn team plays up to the heat, EVERY TEAM, even the wizards&bobcats and that shit forces you to sweat out all their games. So I probably just going to stay away from the heat until the playoffs
