    I think you only need an explanation if ur backing Lakers.

    Clips seem like the obvious choice....ur backing a much better team and laying only a few pts

    A Clippers home game vs the Lakers is no advantage.
    Lakers fighting to get back to .500
    Clippers just got destroyed in b2b games on the road
    Lakers have won 6 of their last 8 games (Clippers had the 17 game winning streak however)
    Lakers are 15-5 in their last 20 games vs Clippers
    Public will be all over Clips
    Lakers tend to show up on Friday nights (I don't know a record, but you will notice how much better the Lakers play on Friday nights over Sunday afternoon games)
    Clips still without Butler, Hill and Billups (still deep as fuk)
    Lakers have a better half court game, if they can control the tempo
    Lakers have only played 3 games since xmas so their old legs should be more rested than prior games

    I'm not taking the Lakers here but thought i'd provide some reasons for sake of argument...

    Other than the beyond-risky "due" angle and the Clippers coming back from a road trip, there's no logical reason to take the Lakers in this spot.

    i took knicks yesterday and minnesota as a gut feeling..everything was saying yesterday to take denver...b2b on toughest place to play and minnesota still took it.. spurs on winning streak, knicks played bad last few games..lakers match up good with clippers even though clippers much deeper.. havent decided yet but probably will play lakers with points if i do... but probably better games on the board..

    Not necessarily. I think waiting until half could be beneficial for 2 reasons...

    1. If Lakers are down, you can grab them at a better # for 2H.
    2. If the Lakers are up, you can fade them second half when they tend to get complacent.

    The only thing that would fuk you by waiting is the Lakers go up by double digits and they keep their foot on the pedal. Which is a VERY unlikely outcome.

    If Clippers are tired of being little brother than they show it tonight by winning b2b in this series. Nothing surprising in the fact that the Lakers own a 97-30 in this series since Clip moved to LA. The spread is a head case as Lakers are 1-6 in last 7 meetings (common with public teams I suppose). Lakers rank dead last against fast break points and Clippers are currently third best.

    I don't think it is about tonight as much as it is about the better team. How many of the last 10 games were Clippers clearly the better team. Clippers are NOW the better team and have been getting tuned up over the years to the sum of winning 23% against Lakers. I don't think they need any extra motivation here. Those that think they want to wait until playoffs make me laugh because the Lakers are a possible no show.

    I think there is better games on the board and I have Clippers by 7 so the line is perfect for those taking Lakers or encouraging Laker action.

    At first glance I thought Clipps should be favored by more. At 2nd glance not so sure. Five is alot of points on a nuetral court I just simply dont trust the Lakers.
