You are a a penetrating moron if you think the Lakers would do this in a million years. Amare makes about 10 times what he should. Typical Knicks dreaming...

Amare better than Gasol when healthy

Stoudemire destroyed Gasol in the playoffs a couple years. Single handedly put the Suns on his back.

    easy decision if he's healthy

lakers want no part of that contract. Plenty of other teams that would take Gasol in a heartbeat. No chance this happens.

actually it is the Lakers idea. Pau has been on the decline and they are looking to move him. Lakers aren't scared to eat money. who better to get for Pau than Amare, reunited with Nash and DAntoni

Amare hasn't been relevant in years. Now a days he's better known for punching glass and how good he used to be. Gasol is consistent, a good jump shooter and great passer. He's also the best big man the Lakers have. This would be a terrible trade for the Lakers which makes me believe it may actually happen. Lakers headed in the wrong direction fast and getting rid of Gasol only gets them where they're going faster and that's missing the playoffs this year.

Bryant made the playoffs with Kwame Brown Luke Walton Smush Parker and Chris Mihm in the starting lineup. We're talking about Kobe Bryant here. Enough said.

Keep dreaming Pau Gasol is 10x better than Amare when he is healthy. Amare single handedly destroyed a shitty lakers team when Kobe had Smush and Butterfingers Brown. However Pau has tendinitis in both knees and is on the decline. Amare is no longer needed in NY as the Knicks are probably better off without him. As a Laker fan, I'd try to get Josh Smith instead. They should have traded him for Smith last year when they had the chance. No way Atlanta will make that trade now though.

no. amare destroyed the lakers in 2010 i believe when the lakers beat the suns in 6 and went on to win the title. phil jackson and gasol had no answer for stoudemire. they double teamed him almost every play and he still dismantled them.

Lol, that doesn't even make sense. Amare single handedly destroyed the Lakers while the Lakers beat the Suns 4-2 and eventually won the title that year? Gasol instantly brought Lakers championships. Amare has not even been close bringing his teams to one. And we can attribute his padded stats to Nash and D'Antonie's quick offense system, not due to Amare's skill itself.

Amare as the Sun's first option averaged in that 2009-2010 playoff series you speak of:
25 points, 6 rebounds and shot 52% FGs

Gasol averaged as the Laker's second option in that series:
20 points, 7 rebounds and shot 57% FGs

    Not quite exactly unstoppable.

SMH. It wasn't too long along ago when Amare first signed with the Knicks, completely turned the team around, had a big streak of consecutive 30 point games and was a legitimate MVP candidate.

lakers have said that they wont trade gasol

why would anyone want always injured amare...his knees are gone

    gasol has been mostly healthy

gasol for josh smith is a better trade...but for d'antoni's offense, josh smith might not be well suited.

Josh smith does what he wants when he wants

Idk if that will even work well with kobe let alone dantoni lol

Laker fans need to wake up.... WTFU
nobody if seeking Gasol... if he is not helping the Lakers... who is he going to help at $19 Million?

what other player is making that money, that a team desperately wants to move?

it's hilarious how the Laker mind is never finished trading.. that's IT.
THIS IS YOUR TEAM. Yes, it sucks.. and it is the most expensive group in the NBA.

nobody is coming to the rescue. Nobody wants Gasol, and all your draft picks are gone..
nobody will trade for a mediocre slow player, for anything quality, or a draft pick.. in 2019.

    nobody.*

And amare when healthy muxch better than pol, would be more comparable with howard!
Amare and anthony doesn't work! So only problem is amare salary!

amare and howard on the same team is pointless
if u talking about trading gasol for the best fit in d'antoni system,
its gonna be some1 like bargnani or gallinari, a PF that can hit 3's

Kobe 40 pts -4 44 minutes. How is that winning you games?

Amare for Pau, win for Knicks. Amare was a shell of himself last year averaging 17 points, 8 rebounds. Back, shot. Knees, shot. Pau knows how to pass, something Amare is not well known for. I hope this trade happens, Lakers attempts to build a superstar team, like Riles did in Miami, has blown up in their face. Enjoy that lottery pick whoever the Lakers traded it to.....
