Doc Rivers has too many working pieces on his chessboard;
lately an overabundance of talent has confused Gang Green's
modus operani, lineup experiments, early season ice shooting,
unfocused defense ... but these first few games are only
transitory, and welcoming the Washington Wizards to the Garden
should be a very easy win for the C's.
They will want to make good for losing the home opener to the Bucks,
and having just played the Wizards, I can tell you the C's shot poorly
and felt dirty after escaping with that win, it won't happen tonight,
pushing me over the edge is Jordan Crawford status:
To make matters worse, Jordan Crawford, who had a team-high 21 points against the Celtics, hurt his left ankle in the second half and is a game-time decision Wednesday. "It's sore," Crawford said. "I'm just taking it day-by-day."
C's started off hot as expected 11-2, then lapsed when Garnett rested,
then ended well when he returned. Shooting % kind of low, so if that picks
up the -9.5 should cover later. I really like Barbosa on this team and hope
he is a regular in the 2nd unit, and Doc doesn't see him as a role player.
I always liked Barbosa when he was with the Suns.
i dont see what you saw when this game had beat down written on it. Celtics maybe coulda won by 9.5 if Seraphin wasn't in, or if Beal finally got his nerves under him.
