Where is the value in the Atlantic Division this year?

    Atlantic Division winner

Tue 10/30 25061 Boston Celtics wins Atlantic Division +175
    7:00PM 25062 Field wins Atlantic Division -225
Tue 10/30 25063 New York Knicks wins Atlantic Division +300
    7:00PM 25064 Field wins Atlantic Division -390
Tue 10/30 25065 Brooklyn Nets wins Atlantic Division +325
    7:00PM 25066 Field wins Atlantic Division -435
Tue 10/30 25067 Philadelphia wins Atlantic Division +300
    7:00PM 25068 Field wins Atlantic Division -390
Tue 10/30 25069 Toronto Raptors wins Atlantic Division +7500
    7:00PM 25070 Field wins Atlantic Division -14000

Brooklyn seems to be the healthies most potent offensive roster. DWill, Joe Johnson, Lopez, and Wallace are better than everyone's else starting 5. I can't trust Bynum for a full season either.

    Sixers look sweet at +300.

Big Bynum gonna destroy the Eastern conference.

There's no value on any of those with all that juice and tying up money for that long

    3 roughly 3-1s and a +175

Even if you ignore the raptors wothout juice the rest should average +300

Raptors +7500 they just got Kyle Lowery who might be better then rondo and they still have Calderon to back him up. Still have bragnani he will be better with Lowery. Value to good to pass, and how the nets are +350 is ridiculous they have 0 shot at the division

Bynum is fine. They're keeping him out just as a precaution.

Bynum is going to destroy Chandler.

Its right. All the other teams' buses would have to crash for the Raptors to win the divsion.

Raptors do have a good shot at the playoffs but still they really can't win the division over 82 games

celtics or knicks. probably celtics. would never tie up money for that long though.

hell, if i wanted to bet a future i'd lay the -295 or so on pinnacle for "heat or okc or lakers champs". pretty much guaranteed money.

I follow the Celtics closely, and this team is deeper than their championship team of a few years ago.

Doc has been tinkering with the lineup, and may end up starting Rondo, Bradley (when he returns), Pierce, Sullinger, Garnett. A bench of Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, Jeff Green, Brandon Bass, and Darko...that's a deep-ass squad.

philly has much better depth then boston.... they basically could have two starting caliber lineups

Brooklyn's roster is better. I guess I'm just worried about chemistry and Avery Johnson.

Johnson is the most overrated all-star of the last few years. Lopez is a big man that doesnt even rebound. Good luck with that... what does he pull down. 4-6 rebounds a game?

agreed. i couldn't lock up money for that long though, hopefully i can multiply whatever i would've bet by more than 1.3 in 8 months by grinding. we'll see.

and raptors have no shot. how can something have value when it has no chance to happen? they will be better for sure but have more wins than the celtics or knicks? no way.

I respectfully disagree. Look at what the Celtics did last year. Against Miami, Avery Bradley (who many argued was the number 1 on the ball defender in the league, and owned DWade) was injured, they were trotting out guys like Ryan Hollins and Greg Steimsma, and they went 7 games with Miami, in which the refs jobbed them in 2 of the games.

This year, they get Jeff Green (looking great in preseason) back, Wilcox back, and add Jason Terry to play backup point and Courtney Lee, a spot-up 3pt threat and good wing defender, which they didn't have last year. They were the worst offensive rebounding team, and they add Sullinger who has a high basketball IQ and can clean up the boards. They also add Darko who looks like a penetrating beast, and KG has taken him under his wing.

With all of these new pieces, and guys who can play multiple positions, they can go small (against teams like Miami) or big against bigger teams. Their offensive efficiency was terrible last year, but they had the number 1 ranked defense, and were within a game of the finals. Also, Rondo looks like he may have found a jumper this preseason, we shall see.

I like what Philly did in getting Bynum, but you need at least 2 stars on your team to win in this league. Philly is similar to Indiana in that regard- lots of above-average players with a good bench, but not enough to get over the hump. I know this thread is about the regular season and who will be division champs, but I honestly think it's Boston's to lose. I think it would take Rondo and either Pierce and/or KG going down at the same time to lose the division.

Good luck with whoever you guys wager on.

Boston just does not take winning the division very seriously anymore. They play balls out for a stretch and then settle the last couple on months or 25 games getting healthy for the playoffs. They have no divisional value in my opinion.

I never lay much juice....and would never lay -435 on Brooklyn not to win, but that's my favorite on the list.
Lets be honest, this is a throw together roster, that won't top Philly and Boston over 82 games. Sure they are talented, but until you've been through the trenches together, I wouldnt lay 2 cents on them.
