Terrible doesn't describe their efficiency this half. They are getting the # of possessions needed, just executing like dog shit. Did not expect them to keep up their +1 pt per possession of the 1st half, but anywhere close to 1 pt per possession in the 2nd half and they would have had a shot. If my numbers are close, got them at 32 possessions this half with 4:00 left and only 19 points. Barely getting over .50 pt per possession. First half, they had 47 pts on 40 possessions. Damn.

Nothing for the 2nd half. Possesession are 75 for the 1st half, O/U is 70 for the 2nd half. Normally, formula would point to an over play there - but they only got 68 points off those 1st half possessions with ridiculously high shooting percentages ... so the 2nd half looks like a crapshoot. Probably lean over, but not very strong.

The only game they failed to at least meet this total was their opener against Croatia. As long as they can establish their tempo and get going early on - I think France will wilt under the pressure. The French have yet to see any team close to this skilled all tournament.

I chose to scoreboard watch only. Going to need a real barn burner 2nd half to sniff the team total. Not playing a 2nd half anything. Just been increasingly more difficult to get an edge. This one is no different.
